Oh i get it the more money you spend the more plus reps you get ?? I mean im happy to see these on here too but people who put time and effort into their grow deserve plus reps, not just because they buy expensive toys. He admitted to doing a sub-par grow and not doing any work but people keep giving plus rep?? I guess people dont read before they rep others?? No offense to thread starter i just think people are too loose with the scales of justice, ya know.
I said that the garden was under utilized not necessarily "sub par" as you put it. It produced the best possible bud from that plant and I had just grown the same plant in the system described below.
I am all for others sweating their asses off trying to reinvent the wheel. Its not like its easy to make the choice to go against the mass dismissing and trashing the omega/volks units get.
First grow with tech that I am not familiar with is not likely to produce optimum results, however I am totally stoked by the results of the volks and with what I know now. The product was selected as top drawer from the dispensary, need I say more?
before the Volksgarden I was into a Deep Water Culture garden. I had a couple of 30
gallon tubs with 8 plants in each. The rockwool cubes sit in net
pots that get blasted by a mister every 15 minutes. Eventually the
roots get big enough to hang down and fill the tub. This style of
growing is supposed to produce some of the best results for hydro.
But I have found that the VG is much better. Because it's all
about the tops. The tops of plants are the hardest and most
resinous, and the VG only produces tops. No time or energy is
wasted creating big plants that produce a large amount of unusable
underdeveloped flowers on the lower branches. And the water
changes with a DWC garden were a huge pain. With the VG I do half
the labor (half an hour a week) for 4 times the plants I used to
run. And my nutrient costs per crop have been chopped by 75%.
