i spent 3 years on the sick after quitting a hardcore amphetamine addiction , im now in a steady job and its turned my life around , its a shittty job but it gives me a purpose in life , i spent 3 yeaars lying in bed , i never want to get into that sort of lifestyle again .
Download a few audio books by the name of "Anthony Robbins or Tony Robbins" (same person). Just do it dont even think this is the one thing that worked for me & now I have a new different perspective of life. Seriously just download it & listen to it whenever even if it becomes background noise.

let's see... all you guys/girls make great examples of how hard things are now days. i see several of you are injured in a way, i think that excludes you from the 'dead beat' category. it's hard right now all over! i on the other hand, might be able to challenge for the 'dead beat' trophy~ if another 'quality slacker' can make a push... please, by all means!!~~~ :bigjoint::clap:
i live with my girlfriend, in 'her' house. she has a bad ass career, and it would make no difference to her financially if i stayed or left. that's how much she makes, and that's how little i make. i've been unemployed (Labowski'ing) for about... 9 mo! i got fired last spring for fuk'n off during my vendor job, and then fuk'd off writing and performing music all summer and fall. here it is Dec, and my slacker ass is still fuk'n off, writing and recording music with my grunge band during the days, while she works her ass off. i'm weak!!
she comes home and is like.. 'wht did you do today?'.. i'm like.. smoked, played guitar, had coffee, smoked, tend to the babies (our plants), tv, nap,..etc. i'm like drink'n beer at noon everyday, coffee to beer~ wht a combo. i let my hair go long, the beard is looking righteous sweet right now (been like 3 mo since shave)
anyways... i've got some leads on some work starting in jan. i'll be back on grind full time in '09. but, i'm still a huge Slacker/Moocher!!!
I love good though~ :hump: .....makes all the difference!!

The company I was working for went under due to economy/financial issues.

I've been unemployed for a month. Hoping I can snag up a job in January. So far everything is dry... fuckin' sucks trying to find a job in my field.. May have to go for just a whatever job at Target/Walmart or some shit. Sigh...

Cant get unemployment because I've technically been "self-employed"

hahaha yea i have been saying that to myself to keep my spirits up cuz i havent been able to go to any bullridings and it is like not having pot and a bunch of plants ready for harvest but u still have to wait. but it has been really cool growing pot with money from the goverment or whoever pays me but i would much rather be able to go back to college and continue rodeoing but i am gonna let this heal so i dont have to deal with it later in life im only 21 and i already have chronic pain due to a cracked vertabra when i was a jr in highschool but i love what i do and it dosent get any better than that

You're a bullrider? Dude, that is fucking BALLS OUT! Ain't no way I'd touch that. I'll take on horses, had my fair share of kicks, bites, spills and being stepped on (worst was being struck in the face by an unshod colt, that little motherfucker).

I was injured on the job back in '02, haven't been able to do the same work since then. But the state/government said I'm perfectly able to do what I used to do. :? Really? I can't even mop my own fucking floors without ending up hobbling for three days afterward. But hey, a'ight! Whatever you say. :| Now, go git me a job, bitch! I don't need an "official" job, I just need to generate some income is all.

Ive been unemployeed for 5 weeks now by choice,im of the age now that being outdoors in Michigan winters (industrial construction) are not fun for me,plus with my wifes health it gives me time to keep an eye on her condition.

I'll go back the 1st of march until then my assistant is taking care of my projects.

My employer has no choice but to lay me off when i want,i can retire any time i want by putting in the paperwork,if they want me to continue working a few more years & put my retirement on hold its something they must do,if not im signing up for retirement & ive made them aware of that fact.

No more winters freezing balls for this old coot.

If you're a union carpenter, then yeah, it's no big deal. But if you're not, it's not quite the same.
I agree 100%

thats exactly why labor costs are so outrageous these days. i fucking hate unions, just legal organized crime.

not directed at you topfuel, just unions in general
I understand man, when you think about it you need to make about
$25.00 hr. to have a decent life, middle class 35,000 - 45,000 yr.

unions breed lazy employees...at least in the service industry
I've been in alot of places (Factories), worked around just about every trade. It all depends where you go. The Carpenter from Local 745 will tell
you, theres allways some Iron Worker Foreman screaming about something
or other.... My trade, We don't Fuck Off... LoL

Carpernter here. local 745. been off since October!
Iron Workers Local 8, I could Boom Out, But it's to cold outside :joint:

 I've only ever castrated young pigs without putting them under first, NEVER a colt. I bet that one left a mark, too. Had some close calls with mares who were touchy about their foals, too. But that colt that struck me in the face, he was the worst, he was just mean and I couldn't get away from him in time, barely even saw it coming (which I think is better than having all kinds of time to think about how bad this one's gonna hurt). Reared right up and aimed right for my head. First time I ever ended up in ER (Dad refused to do the stitches). We ended up sending him out to "get cowboyed". I hear he made a fine little saddlehorse in the end.

man if i could find me a good job on a ranch that would take me cuse im hurt i would be there. my last job i had 23 horses to break by myself and i had 15 of them riding in a month i spent every day either in the round pen or puting open miles on them i love that work more than anything. and i miss working with hogs also the ranch i grew up on had a dairy farm a hog farm and a cattle operation with about 100 horses and a brood mare herd of about 30 i miss it every day.
