Clone/Seedling Lighting Test

Lately, I’ve been dialing in my propagation setup and decided to try something new with the Spider Farmer SF300. I had high hopes—it’s a popular light in the budget LED space—but my plants just didn’t respond the way I’d hoped. Leaf posture and color were off, and overall vigor seemed diminished. I gave it a fair shot but ultimately returned it.

After some research and comparison, I switched to the Migro seedling/veg light, and the difference was clear. The color temperature feels better suited to early growth, and being dimmable gives me way more control over intensity, which is crucial in the early stages. Since switching, the seedlings look happier—perky, greener, and growing with better uniformity.

Sometimes experimenting doesn’t pan out, but this was a solid reminder to trust my instincts, and more importantly—listen to the plants.

Took Polar Gelato clones today as well.

Plants are still swelling and leaning, good problems to have I guess. Still drinking well, dry backs easing up. Mixed 80% rez, might top with 70%—likely the last feed. Aiming for 5 days of straight water and harvest in 10–12 days.

Whew… this run was something else. Felt like a redemption arc fr. I ain’t the hero though—I was just the shepherd.

Terps are wild. Soapy, heavy Chem funk with a Kraft single on the stem rub. I know how that sounds lol—def need to start getting tests. Nose is catching stuff I can barely describe.

Structure? Dumb big. You gotta have your room dialed for this one. She’ll reward you but she’ll bully you first. As for yield… I don’t chase numbers, but yeah—it’s up there.

Rain Science bags held it down. Automation + Jacks = smooth sailing. That HLG 320 XL RSPEC put in serious work.

Stacked notes, learned a ton. Still leveling up.

i have some GG4 RIL fems by Tony Green unfortunately zero germination ad you can see when I first started the journal they didn't pop I contacted him he said instead of the paper towel method try to shot glass method it's funny how I got 100% germination on lit and cosmic wisdom and zero on his beans of course I contacted him he says if it doesn't work out let him know and he will figure something out

Next run with Polar Gelato is live. Topped all but the backup. Training tweaks coming before flip on July 1. Not chasing weight—chasing quality. No pics? Didn’t happen. Grow to learn, not just to burn. This one’s for the new growers.
