After Quasimodo's death the bishop of the cathedral of Notre Dame sent word through the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer was needed.

The bishop decided he would conduct the interviews personally and went up into the belfry to begin the screening process.

After observing several applicants demonstrate their skills he decided to call it a day when an armless man approached him and announced he was there to apply for the bell ringer job.
The bishop was incredulous. "You have no arms!"

"No matter," said the man, "Observe!" He then began striking the bells with his face, producing a beautiful melody on the carillon. The bishop listened in astonishment, convinced that he had finally found a suitable replacement for Quasimodo.

Suddenly, rushing forward to strike a bell, the armless man tripped and plunged headlong out the belfry window to his death in the street below.

The stunned bishop rushed to his side. When he reached the street, a crowd had gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beautiful music they had heard only moments before. As they silently parted to let the bishop through, one of them asked, "Bishop, who was this man?"

I don't know his name," the bishop replied sadly. “I don't know his name
but his face rings a bell."

Mornin'....

Our neighbor has a pet goose. Talk about shit everywhere. I couldn't/wouldn't do it. I love my critters but the free-range chicken/goose gig is above my tolerance levels. They had 2 but the mountain lion (they believe) snagged one. Boom. Gone.

We didn't have long commutes...15 miles max...but many AM's it was whiteout conditions/demolition derby from all of the tourists trying to get to the ski hill. Everybody in vacation HURRY MODE for some reason. Gotta get up there to that pow-pow! Even in the grocery you'd get tapped on the shoulder by someone asking to cut in front of you because "I'm in a hurry". Yeah...me too...and I got up early. Go to the back of the line fucker...some of us LIVE here/work here/etc....heehee. Maybe it's why I don't do vacations anymore. I've been on the other side too many times with stupid tourists. 30+ years in SkiTown....I've seen it all. Yikes. Must be a requirement to leave yer brain at home!

Another 60F day here. Moisture on the horizon...not sure how much though. Doesn't look like a doozy...unfortunately. Even though I'm still hurting from the last one...we never wish it away.

Thinking I might start my Summer weed garden seeds today. Don't need the pot but what else is an old fucker gonna do all Summer? I need to find some Vets or someone on limited income to toss weed at. Used to do it all of the time in my old life. Had 4 "patients" who never paid a dime for weed. Had a good friend with Parkinsons I kept high til he passed. Ditto with a friend in GA who had cancer. She got 1/2 z's of bubble hash in the mail every 6 weeks. Never took their drugs. Totally blew her docs minds for a long time. They were totally supportive of her hash smoking even though it was 100% illegal. Who cares @ that point? Fuckers. She made it 4 years. I was honored to help and she told me she couldn't have/wouldn't have made it as far as she did w/o the gift. Yeah...I need to find some folks again... cus I don't seem to be able to not grow this plant.
That's awesome man good for ya!

Mornin. Possible thunderstorms this afternoon with some more snow in the mountains. I think we'll be above average on snow pack again this year, it has been 14 years since we have had consecutive years of above average snow pack. Bodes well for farmers and So Cal lawns and golf courses...
Mornin.

What do you for health insurance?
I had a plan through Obamacare before the fire. Wasn’t working my trade but still had some income. Fire happened and I was on MediCal for a minute. And i’m currently back with a plan through Obamacare.
i used to have great insurance when i was still working my trade in the union. Things are going to change here soon when I actually have some pretty good income again.

How much is your Obamacare a month?
I am looking around for myself.
My agency has BlueCross of Michigan and it would cost me $360 a month and I’m sure it’s not that great. I don’t even know if I want to bother with health insurance. It’s such a money drain and I have no medical conditions. The shortage of Doctors and the first appoint for new patients is 6 weeks out here and in Washington state , where I just moved from it was 3 months out. You go for the first appointment and the insurance only covers so much even after the co pay ( you have to use your deductible BS) To see the doctor for the first time in Washington cost over $700 for like him doing nothing. Then he wanted a teleheath zoom meeting to go over labs!! That would have cost even more so I blew it off.. It’s such a money racket. I work in healthcare and unfortunately I see the corruption up close and personal. I don’t even get free healthcare being a profession healthcare worker…. It’s soooo wrong.

potting up the 3 mephisto autos today. the four plants in the tent will share space for about a week, since i plant to chop them all next weekend. they got a little trim today to free up airflow and light, and the chickens are absolute fiends for the leaves, i've learned.

i would love to put a couple (or four) girls in this box, but they'd probably get stolen by some local kids. we had a trailer stolen the other week, and that was a fun $1200 to pull out of our asses to replace. ahhhh....city living!
