I used to but I’m done calling out the bullshit. If the powers that be here are going to allow it, why waste my time? Vaccine discussions should be pulled from this thread also, as there are other threads dedicated to vaccine discussion.

I’ll still check things out in case useful information about the pandemic is posted but I honestly don’t care what any individual here thinks about vaccines.

Thanks for your contribution to the thread, btw.

How is the reality that I am able to find VAERS report, which the "fact check" article asserts does not exist, in any way anecdotal?

No, I just don't really think this subforum is appropriate for a weed message board. But so long as you guys just keep telling one side of the story, I will continue to give alternate perspectives.

It's about science, not polling of the uninformed and ignorant. I dunno how many times you've been told that VAERS is a reporting system and not scientific data and that antivaccers who spread disinformation try to use it regularly. It is a reporting system designed for qualified people to conduct studies on the accumulated data, and when they do, the claims of those who use the raw data to spout bullshit are disproven. Science is about finding the truth, not about confirming biases and prejudices.

OK. Even is that's the case, it's irrelevant to this particular situation. The fact is that Desselle's injury was "debunked" by Wired, simply because they said that they couldn't find a VAERS report on Jan 23rd 2021. This "fact check" has been repeated by many other mainstream media outlets. The real fact, which you can double check yourself, is that the report was indeed submitted to VAERS on Jan 20th 2021 (the same day that she visited the doctor, as previously evidenced).

The poll I suggested would be to determine if the majority of users of RIU feel that the "Politics" subforum should stay or go. I feel like you somehow aren't paying attention here.

It's about ignoring the noise and tuning into the signal, that signal is called science and it will settle these issues. Argue with an engineer about the design of a bridge, if you want, but the engineer will win in the end, if he has the consensus of his profession behind him, though there are mad engineers, just like there are mad scientists and even those with MDs.

it is against the tos though derailing a thread is against the rules consistent back and forth arguing is as well always has been i know youre not a fan of mine, but actually had alot more positive response in politics now than not except from a select group of people

im not complaining im reminding of the rules gently, to let people know theyre straying from them,sorry you think that is complaining
