I dont think I can say I have ever experienced the Medical effects of Different Strains

Was just reading some other threads where someone was asking about specific strains for pain.

I have smoked a shit ton of weed in my life.

I have also ALWAYS been in pain from either training or injuries (most of the time both)

I don't recall my pain ever subsiding due to smoking any amount of weed.

My mental anguish subsides but in no way does my physical pain.

I also don't really experience any difference between indica and sativa. Both make me sleepy.

Is there anyone else who doesn't get these benefits or differences from strain to strain?

My buddy had his hip replaced a few years ago . Going through the the pre op phase a nurse was asking questions and one was "do you use any drugs" . He told her he smokes two large joints a day and she asked if it helps with the pain .

He said he thought for a minute and said "well , it certainly takes my mind off it" . He said she just smiled and scribbled something down .

He has a few stains he made on his own over the past 40 years that would be best described as narcotic , very sedating , dick in the dirt weed . I'd love to send some for testing .

You really have to pay attention to what your mind and body tell you. For the last 15 years I've been growing out and searching many strains to fit my specific needs. Mainly for depression where a good sativa like Kali Mist with some Mazar in it really helped but was so much a sativa that it would give me an anxiety attack if I hit just a little too much in my pipe. Would only last for 15 min or so but then I felt great. I crossed that with NL#5 and it still worked great but no more anxiety even if I deliberately overindulged.

Later, strains with Mazar like Purple Jems by The Joint Doctor, Mazar x LowRyder and lately an auto I grew outside called Mazarilla, Mazar auto x GG#4 auto by Urban Legends also hit that sweet spot but all were short lived and didn't seem to work as well when made into edibles. Hemp farms popping up around me so no more outdoor growing and now flowering during the spring and summer indoors either. All my plants were full of seeds this year. :(

About 7 years ago I discovered CBD's effects on my arthritis when I bought some 1g samples including a 2:1 CBD strain from the first dispensary I ever went to on a trip out to Kelowna, BC to visit family. Island Sweet Skunk CBD and about a half a joint really helped so I bought 10g to bring home and make into cocobudder and that was the best. A tsp in the evening and my usual morning pain was down 75% or so.

I seem to have fixed a 40+ year bout of depression by micro-dosing with magic mushrooms. It also took away my compulsion to drink so I've been cheerful and sober for a year and a half and that feels great! Just starting another run of those mixed with Lion's Mane mushroom powder and vit. B3 as I felt I was getting the winter blahs. Just 3 doses so far and feeling better already. Got great news today when I saw the doc about a brain MRI I had last week. I do not have MS! Whoo Hoo!

Other shit going on so off for blood-work tomorrow and a colonoscopy coming up soon. This nurse practitioner lady is going to get to the bottom of what's going on with my bottom. :D Best damn doctor we've had for over 10 years and she's not even a doctor.

With THC you can have the effect in seconds but with CBD you really need to be in tune with your body. One dose isn't enough to tell if it's doing anything so like most natural type medications it can take a while before it's effect is really noticeable but worth trying for a while. Edibles seem to be best for it's use and longer lasting effects. A 2:1 or higher level of CBD seems to help me the most. Still trying to find a stain with lots of CBD and as close to zero THC as possible. My son wants some with no THC as he gets tested once in a while for his job hauling heavy equipment.

Different strains are not all the same to me and super high THC holds no interest unless it's a strain that does a lot more than fug me up.
That being said I think I'm gonna hit some GG#4. pass.gif

If you're in Canada, Canvas Labs in Vancouver does HC approved pot testing and you can get a potency test for $60. I just called them a couple days ago and they are supposed to email me an info kit and a pre-paid address sticker to send in some oil samples as soon as I get the oil made. When I told tehm I was a senior with a doctor's medical for pot he said I'll get a discount but didn't say how much.

Can get a deal if sending in lots of samples at once too so great for low-income amateur breeders like myself.

I can tell between sativa and indica. all sativas make me jittery. most indica's seem the same but real deal northern lights is in its own category . I can totally feel pain relief from it and it makes me really chill. come to think of it I can tell when I'm smoking different old school land race type genetics. I think there has been so much interbreeding that it no longer applies to 90% of strains

What are you dosing your mushrooms and lion's mane weight wise @OldMedUser ? I was stacking lions mane with psilocybin and it was making me feel a bit queasy.
Are you taking it with food? I find a smaller dose of 'shrooms than generally recommended works for me and I barely feel it. More like too much coffee than a buzz. Generally it's 100 - 300mg/dose but 50 is lots for me.

I made up 50 '00' caps with each having 50mg Penis Envy 'shrooms, 100mg B3, (and not the no-flush type which is basically useless so need the nicotinic acid ones) and about 450mg of Lion's Mane. That was $50 for 100g jar and I used 25g of it for that batch.

I take zinc every day for my prostate and if I take it on an empty stomach I feel like puking. Even with juice so always take it with a meal. I take a fistful of other stuff too.

Here where? In Canada I think they are basically grey market like pot was before Prohibition 2.0 kicked in but there are dispensaries in places like Vancouver. Alberta actually approved clinical use of 'shrooms and other hallucinogens recently and that was a surprise considering how f'ed up our gov't is. Real piece of work at the helm now so hopefully back to NDP come the end of May.

Plz send my some :eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::shock:
Check out r/microdosing at Reddit. I got my 'shrooms on a Black Friday sale 2 years ago for $99/oz and still have half left. Penis Envy as they are a bout the strongest which may be why I need so little in my caps for it to work. Lots of great info about them there and recommendations from peeps who buy lots of where to get them.

I think I remember hearing that. That's where I'm from. I was in shroom heaven when I grew up there. Seen many walls melt,
We used to pick them out by the Vancouver airport until we found better fields at a dairy farm out in the Fraser Valley. Fill a pail in a couple hours with my old GF. Was just reminiscing on the phone with her about those days yesterday when she called to talk to the wife. Had her phone on speaker and her old man was laughing in the background. We'd dry them and powder them up to sell in the bar for $4/g. 1g would really get you ripped. Got the whole Richmond Inn wasted one night with a good live band rocking the house. Good times!

Did lots of 'cid back then too. I'd get 1000 blotter on big sheets for $250 and sell for $2 each or 3 for $5. 1 hit and you'd be talking to god herself. :)
