Well I screwed up and let the onion rings get too dark. The fried chicken was a solid 10. Colonel Sanders just went down in flames. The onion rings I'm a little embarrassed about. After I took the chicken out I didn't pay close enough attention to the temperature and it got too hot. The lady said she likes them well done. They were a little too greasy for me. I think she was just being nice because she knew I was disappointed. They sucked because I walked away. I was fiddling around for a minute or two with something when I should have been pulling them out of the oil.

The chicken was a definite winner though. Probably some of the best I've ever made. The damn onion rings spoiled everything. I don't even like them that much. I just make them for the lady and it pisses me off that I over fried them. :wall:

It's not too late. You can save the onion rings with some Tartar Sauce.
