Admitting you're wrong connects you to your humanity, your integrity, and other people. It's a practice that builds self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-respect. Admitting you're wrong is so powerful, it's almost like a bolt of lightning.
I think this is one of those situations where you're pointing a finger, but you got 3 more pointing back at you. No disrespect to your grow m8, but those will not finish in 8-9 weeks with 16 "huge colas"... Reality.

The other side of the spectrum, OP's plants are still tiny for 8 weeks old
Seeds with tails into rockwool cubes Dec. 1, so 38 days old, 1 week into 12/12
2x4 tent nearly filled

Sorry, no mainlining so I may miss out on the 16 big fat colas

I get your point. also I mean no disrespect.. first it’s 2 x 8 big fat colas.. but that’s not the discussion.. it’s about how long it’s takes to flower correctly .. not about the size of the plants.

Are you actually correcting a distinction between "16 huge colas" and "2 x 8 big fat colas"?

Funny that the title of the thread is about lollipopping before flowering and the OP is mainlining.
Did you read his first post, lol? He obviously knows lollipopping is different.

But NO, he shouldn't do shit to them.

Not sure how you came up with that?
It wasn't obvious to me, or apparently anyone else other than you.
That's why everyone (but you) started critiquing the size for 8 weeks.
The first time your booty buddy mentioned he was doing a mainline was post #35.
Up until that point everybody thought it was a normal grow and he wanted to lollipop it.
Have a nice day.

The power of positive thinking pays dividends.
That and knowing what the fuck your doing helps :)
I'm just speaking for myself & don't mean to dis anyone's style because we all have favorites, kinda like religion.
Anyway, 1st things 1st, which is don't do what every rookie grower out there has done in their life, which is cut leaves off the plant, usually thinking that the bud will get more light, which is true.
But does the bud need that much more, or are you eliminating/reducing the plant's ability to absorb more lumens to produce the energy NEEDED for the bud to DEVELOP!!!!
Just move the leaves & pull the branch into the light, end of story.
Also fan's hold a lot of moisture & will help the plant maintain in case you can't/forget to water.
One of the most beneficial/important aspects of the leaves is that tell you what's up with the plant.
How will you tell if your N is too high/low if you don't have any fucking leaves? :)
You will have a hard time figuring out def's without them, they tell you EVERYTHING!!!! :)
So, I don't take ANY leaves unless they're dead or diseased.
Sure, the de-foliated plant is prettier, no doubt, but is it healthier?
Nope, that's impossible.
This ain't Bonsai, you want the biggest/healthiest plant, not the prettiest (at least I do)
You will produce skinny-ass girls if you lollypop/de-foliate, whereas my ladies have big/fat asses & I LOVE FAT ASSES!!!!! (juicier)
:)

I’m glad that I got here a some good advice and did not follow the « de-foliate » part of the mainline NugBuggets style.. In stead of that I followed the Dr. Coco's Cannabis Mainline Training Tutorial. To get 8 equal big fat colas.

I'll tell you now you ain't getting 8 big fat colas.
Don't even attempt it, you have 90 day's to grow & if you mutilate your plant & your fucked & have to start over.
If you want to have multiple colas, (which I don't/1 big one is good enough for me) go for 4 by topping twice & even then I wouldn't do it because of recovery time for the plant.
Each snip adds a week to finish time, so with 2 toppings an 8 week plant becomes a 10 week plant.
Fuck that

Vegging a few plants for 8 weeks is laudable but it's pretty hard to screw up the veg stage.
You've not grown a single nug of any size at all, yet take offense when your non-existent "big fat colas" are not properly addressed. You're counting your chickens a bit early.

I'm interested to see how the organic coco works through flowering
