Many breakfasts here are oatmeal (sometimes with raisins or blueberries), heavily sprinkled with cinnamon, add two tablespoons of milled golden toasted flax and two tablespoons of hemp hearts for extra flavour/protein/omega 3/essential fatty acids/micronutrients. Then add some locally sourced (bartered for two days worth of sweet potato planting labour) maple syrup and add a bit of oat milk (uses 7x less water to produce than cow/almond milk) to lower the viscosity slightly. Chase it all down with a French press coffee and you're ready to tackle any day.
With 10 maple trees, one should easily be able to produce 4 or 5 gallons of syrup annually. Yes, its a bit of work but with a production quantity that large, you wouldn't have to do it every year.
