all good.. thread title literally says "skunkiest roadkill smelling strain" so I thought you were looking for skunky roadkill terps. RKS aka Road Kill Skunk and the hunt for it is discussed in the other thread, including other strains that come close. there's tons of other loud and stank strains just the RKS is the one that fits the explanation of your original post.

if you are after loud diesel terps, long valley royal kush is inbred Sour D / Diesel / Kush across multiple generations. I have some in flower now, bumping a leaf smells like a gas can got knocked over. no clue on the smoke yet but it looks and smells nasty.
Shit you're right my bad. But good shit cause i personally am looking for all the stinkers haha

No it's definitely up there, I was just joking around because if it's the real RKS and a real stinker I'm gonna be mad at myself for not getting it
Get it, or you will regret it lol. He said he would dive into the skunks so I am sure there will be more to come.

Supposedly an old 80’s RKS. Katsu says it has the terps and that they pass on to progeny.
Katsu is one of the many "breeders" I've added to my personal "snake oil salesman" list over the past year or so. He's got a lot of marketing fluff, but only basic pollen chucking. Get on his email list and you'll be able to find a lot of similarity between his thinly-veiled sales techniques and any used car salesman's techniques.

Yeah, I'm right there with ya. When he released the pre98 stuff it seemed like he was on a good path. I have unsubscribed from his email list.

Most of his recent stuff is lowest common denominator slop. Might grow good weed but you're wasting your time advancing the 15 out of 20 crosses that are just there to pay for his kid's college education.

I realized it around the time he started defending MMS and getting into the collab game. In general, collabs are only marketing tools used to get people who like one brand/breeder turned on to another brand/breeder.

I am on his list, that is how I know he sell RKS X’ed. I don’t read his mails though, just happened to open one of them the other day and thought I’d pass the info along. Good pointing out though. As for the MMS debacle it surprised me to see so many come out in his defence. And of course it had to be the ones doing business with him.

Katsu and rks, there is a sucker born every minute. In the weed game the suckers must multiply like cockroaches. Katsu and rks...it doesn’t get much funnier than that lol.
It would if that ”80’s RKS” turned out to be a 2020 BSV pheno hunter find lol. I don’t know man, the pre98 was always a good with me but I only tried one of his and that was with the OGKB 2.0. Looks like he dropped it for these collaborations, and now he is going to skunk.

This is hilarious. Had no idea this was such a topic. And I have to be honest, had no idea there was a strain called RKS. My brother and I always just loved diesel’y skunk and used to refer to the smell when we grew it as a dead skunk. Now that I’m reading all this, I’m dying. New to this forum so I apologize for my ignorance on this topic. That being said, seems like there are a lot of opinions on who NOT to buy from. Can someone recommend a solid source for either original sour diesel, NYC Diesel, or chem dog? Like.. the tried and true real deal? Ideally auto, but not picky. Photo would be fine. I think I just need to stick to what I know I love. Willing to try others as well, but would love to find the bomb diesel. Anyone have good experience with any of those? Recommendations?

Top Dawg is the go to source for all of those.

lots of people have decent SourD but the other 2 I'd stuck with Top dawg

While I got your ear, you have a seed source you prefer? Looks like a bunch of places carry top dawg genetics... how do I filter out the hogwash?

I’m going to ask another stupid question. Seems like a lot of top dawg sourD is crossed with a million different things. Is there an original sour diesel? Or NYC Diesel? Or is my inexperience showing? I was liking the looks of this, as it doesn’t seem to far from original... but... I also know nothing...

So soma won’t ship to US huh? I want that original SOMA NYCD, and can’t find it anywhere. I see lots of crosses... everywhere... but SOMA NYCD. Someone has to have it.

RKS is more of an Internet legend than an actual strain. Don’t know who has Soma’s NYCD in the US. But, Connoisseur Genetics use Soma’s NYCD cut in a couple of crosses and he has the Original Diesel in s1 and crossed to the Chem D, SSSDH and a few others. Just send him an email for his list, there is more than what is on his homepage.

18 pack of Critical mass and pheno hunt.

If you look at the history of RKS it's said to be super skunk from the seedbank era. (Earlier than 91) Critical mass is Nevs Bigbud X Skunk selection. I've 4 cuts at week 2 bloom that over power my filter.(basic 38mm not 50mm carbon bed)
Some super stinky skunk types are found and reported.
