do monster clones flower faster

this is my second run of 3 monster clones the first run finished with 30% amber in just under 49 days from 12 12 this run is only day 37 from flip and i already have amber maybe its because the plant is already 4 months from cutting? does anyone else have any input?

When you say “monster” clones do you mean they have been monster cropped? Or do you just mean a big plant?
I ask because plants that have been brought to flower and then pulled back to veg and flipped again tend to pick up sort of where they left off in bud development. They don’t finish much faster but they show signs of maturity earlier.

That plant isn't even close to done. Its so early you definitely shouldn't be looking at the trichomes yet. If you harvested the last plant looking anything like that then you are missing out MAJORLY on what the genetics have to offer. That plant has WEEEKS left, easily 4.

Before even thinking about harvesting take a look at this and see if your plant is actually showing you all these signs.


The signs of ripeness are pretty standard.

First a few of the pistils begin turning color and start receding. Your plant is just starting to ripen. Depending on the strain you could still have two months to go. We're just starting this journey.

Two to four weeks later you'll notice that most of the pistils(>80%) have now changed color and curled back into the bud. It's frosty, way bigger than it was a few weeks ago, and smells dank! It's time, right? Not a chance killer. Patience is a virtue

Over the next 2-3 weeks it doesn't look much different, maybe a little more swelling in the calyxes, and the rest of the pistils change over, but the stems ars starting to bend under the weight of the buds. These ladies are putting on weight and now the buds are doing their final ripening.

Now you begin looking at trichomes, on the calyx not leaves, and harvest according to your preference. When looking at trichomes it’s essential to look at them from the side. The bulbous heads can magnify the opaque stalk under it. Looking from the side allows you to more accurately see the condition of the resin in the trichome head.

There is still no rush to harvest, the window just opened, and you have several weeks before you MIGHT start having to think about it possibly beginning to get too ripe. It takes WEEKS for plants to mature not days.

It is very easy to harvest a plant to early. It is very hard to harvest a plant to late. I’ve never seen someone accidentally wait too long.

70 days is about the minimum I've seen, when I flip I give myself 3 months, I don't want to wait that long but it takes what it takes, sometimes it's more than 90 days... Grudgingly lol

Ok so not truly “monster cropped” just taken as cuttings from flowering plants. They might mature a bit quicker (early orange pistils) and could even grow larger colas as a result but it will still take a full 10 weeks or so to finish. I monster-crop all plants before the final flip; light manipulation does wonders if you have patience but does not really shorten flowering time. Looks like typically normal for bud development at “around” day 40 to me...but healthy enough. They look fine don’t sweat it

i understand that part it just seems like they mature faster for some reason the other plant in the room started 12 12 14 days before these and has at least 4 more weeks

the good news is zero pests i always use my loupe to check for creepy crawleys and thats when i noticed amber and cloudy triches

The pictures you shared looks like they also have at least 4 weeks to go. Then again your pictures are terrible quality so it's a little hard to tell. GL.
