Our Six Year Old Is Transgender.

I'm sorry...What was the question?
1. Why are you sexualizing a small child? And before you respond with you are not:

2. Why is a kid being more comfortable identifying as a girl some kind of moral failure, or am I mistaking what you are saying?

3. How can you be so certain that a child decides that they are far more comfortable identifying as a girl will lead to them having a bad life? I would point out that this decision they are making based on how they feel is not going to impact their ability to do school work, or achieve their best in college, and have a great career, nor to find the person that they want to live out their life with.

I get the whole 'picked on' argument is a reality that our society is often pretty evil, but that doesn't mean that it is a good enough reason to deny reality.

1. I'm not.

2. A child is not in a position to make complex life-decisions because they don't have the knowledge and experience to do so. That ability comes with time and experience -none of which a 6 year old possesses. If, in time, when that child's mind has ripened under the light of the world a bit (past puberty to be specific) and that young adult decides to make a more complex life decision such as the one in this topic, then that's a different thread topic.

3. The idea is for the parents to provide the safest possible environment for their kids. So, allowing a kid to change genders and go to public school is going to not provide that safety because it will invite bullying. After the child isn't a child anymore is when they can make those decisions. And there's every possibility the person, as an adult can choose their own life's path and have a great life as a result.
It's nice to know that one stung.

I like it when child abusers cry.
"And ONE!" You KOed yourself so badly, you must be loopy. Just sit down, man. How many fingers am I holding up? What year is it? You'll be okay. Just breathe....:)

Typical Trumper. Got stung and then tries the old turnabout tactic. You could try something original but religious conservatives have the imagination of a termite.

I'm glad it bothers you.

You don't have kids and it's all just biblical crap to you. Go back to your studies on the location of Noah's Ark.

You are when you are talking about this being about 'which way they swing'.

2. A child is not in a position to make complex life-decisions because they don't have the knowledge and experience to do so. So the only way for you to see this is to suppress the very real ways that a child can express themselves (that is not hurting anyone else) is to wait until their childhood is ruined for them and they are forced to grow up in full compliance by hiding who they truly feel that they are?

And a life-decision is pretty much bullshit in this situation. What is it that you think is going to happen if this kid wants to be a girl?

3. The idea is for the parents to provide the safest possible environment for their kids. So, allowing a kid to change genders and go to public school is going to not provide that safety because it will invite bullying. So parents of kids small boys (for their ages) are bad parents because their kid is bullied? Im being an ass, but I think that is about the same as what you are saying that is going to happen right?

A family, within reason, can do what they like with their children (like it or hate it).
I am of the belief that a member of the Rollup forum will do well by their kids.

Personally speaking (due to a public history of Pedophilia, including institutional, in the country I live) I would like my kids to not be sexualised early (for any reason). I 'believe' they should have the chance to enjoy a childhood where 'sexual preference' is not yet covered. As was the case for me.
I know, I'm following a handed down dogma ..but it has always worked for my family.
I admit I do have a belief, that early sexualisation (for whatever) could effect the onset of puberty in children (and have other effects). Not sure on the peer reviewed science on this though. And society, does seem to have become more sexualised (meaning children need some 'awareness').

This is a personal thing though ..I would never demand others follow my families choices. Nor would a support people deposing my families views on this. I guess its somewhat life experiences too, can't forget that :)

Yeah nice try. Your pic was of a basketball going through the hoop. That's typically TWO points unless specified in some other way -which your pic was NOT. How on Earth would you have expected anyone to discern that you meant the pic to represent a ONE point shot as opposed to a two point or three point shot? I'll bet you've never even held a basketball. You are desperate, man. Talk about pretending...This thread is ALL about pretending for sure.

Have a great WON, man! BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH.

grasp at straws

Also, clutch at straws. Make a desperate attempt at saving oneself. For example, He had lost the argument, but he kept grasping at straws, naming numerous previous cases that had little to do with this one. This metaphoric expression alludes to a drowning person trying to save himself by grabbing at flimsy reeds. First recorded in 1534, the term was used figuratively by the late 1600s.

A normal person would just realized how bad they have been owned and take their triggered ass someplace else - but here you are.
Yeah, you're right. I should just realized. ESL much?

Well, maybe you should be doing something else like turning yourself into a responsible parent. *shrugs*
