Drying questions

Trying to master drying right now, just bought an inkbird humidity control and set it to 50% witha ahumidifier so the range is 48-55%. Buds are pretty dense and big. The question is for that rh how often do i need to turn on a 6” duct booster fan for optimal air circulation. My temps are between 14c to 19c.
Any input is appreciated

good luck man, the buds look great ! I dug this cool video up , which you can also do on a small scale with glass jars when you get to curing

does the inkbird have a maximum outlet too? I'd set the extraction fan to turn on at above 55% or something, and the humidifier to come on below 50 or so Im not sure. I typically just feel out my dry. Is there a small fan circulating air around in there too? Cloudline makes a neat exhaust fan that has a nice digital controller

Thanks for the input. It does turnoff when its above 55% but i do not have anything to connect the fan with that why i am trying and there isn’t any other fan on right now and i was just thinking to turn on the fan 2-3 hours a day. Will that do the trick?

well if you have no air circulating constantly in the tent I would think that the RH sensor on your inkbird could be reading inaccurately. I would at least have a fan in there on a very low speed at first to avoid mold. Once you are no longer scared of mold maybe you could shut the circulation fan off.

I always dry in my tent with an active exhaust and control the rh/temp of the house it is exchanging air in to be safe. I would hate to lose a crop because the buds were so fat and I wasn't using enough air- but at the same time too much air will dry it out too fast

Just realized that i can plug my fan to the dehumidifier plug and it will immediately turn on over 55%. Already regretting why i have bought this thing long time ago.
Is the fan positioned okay?

looks good to me, but what I'm saying is the circulation fan should be constantly going, and an extraction fan should kick on at over 55%, to drop humidity (I'm assuming you have a low RH outside of the tent)

the circulating fan will allow a more accurate reading of the humidity, the exhaust fan would act like a dehumidifier, and the humidifier would bring humidity up. I would have a larger humidifier outside of the tent and just control the whole rooms humidity

that inline fan u are using to circulate air seems a bit too much for air flow
