Lumatek 200W vs ViparSpectra 450W

Hi all!

Has anyone ran these lights and could offer a comparison? or anyone that knows their stuff about lighting units. I've read positive things about the ViparSpectra but the Lumatek is supposed to be built incredibly well and also a really effective light.

Space wise is about 0.72m^2, the 200W verison is good for about 0.64m^2. The ViparSpectra 450W is good for 0.37m^2. Obviously the 450W is more than twice the 200W but in terms of actual performance, which is gonna come off better?

Thanks in advance!

Sure those aren't backwards? Seems like the higher wattage should cover more area, unless the 450W is just a fake number and it really draws less.

According to my math, you will want about 270 watts to cover the 7.75 sqft (0.72 sq m)

That viper is 230 watts and several of those watts go to spin the noise makers inside.

Lumatek is legit and will crush the vipar.

Yeah those numbers are correct, turns out the 450W blurple draws 200W from the wall so as 1212ham and some other forum members have said, the Lumatek is supposed to be much better than the ViparSpectra
