Spider Farmer vs Mars Hydro LEDs?

I'm looking to add about 200W-300W to my grow, the Mars Hydro TSW 2000W (300W) at $269 seems like a good bet... the Spider Farmer SF-2000 (200W) is 100W less and $300.

Are the Spider Farmer lights are much better over Mars, and if so, in what way?

Either will get you to your destination so I would go with what fits your budget best. Hydrokid239 summed it up well

Better diodes and drivers on spider farmer.
more watts per dollar with mars.
I have both.
Thanks Hydro - how does each light affect the effect of each smoke you'd say?

Would the effect would be much better with the Spider Farmer? (I'm trying to grow for pure effect, I don't mind small yields).

Not sure how the diodes and drivers influence the grow, still a noob in that regard

Won't matter. How your bud turns out is on you, how you dial in your grow and the genetics of the seeds you use IMO. The plants won't care what name is on the light.

Spiderfarmer actually produces higher ppfd per wat than mars, so more effecient
You also get high end Samsung diodes, and meanwell drivers.
Spiderfarmer will generally have alittle better ppfd spread also.

The light will make it grow, but how the bud turns out is all on the grower's skill.

How big of a space do you have?

You could also spend $15 more for the HLG that's built here in America. $315 after "RIU10" discount.

The other lights will work too, but HLG is top of the line for QB's. And for $15 more, why the hell not?

HLG is one of the best brands for sure. They are pretty much systems designed for cannabis lol

Fully assembled 250w Full Spectrum board from Budget LED and a 5% off code 420mag for I think look like $330US after code. Include Samsung 301H diodes, meanwell driver and switches to add UV and or use a deep blue and/or red lighting during each growing stage. They seem to work nicely for them to change my plant like this in just 9 days (500w Infinity Board not one in link, but has same lighting options with board)

I think I saw this the other day, but a different pic of the light. If it's what I'm thinking and made in the US it looks pretty sweet. I like the switches for UV and stuff.

yeah, they are Michigan located and run by army vets. They’re a sponsor on the 420magazine forum I also venture on, and have seen great results and main reason I upgraded (plus a 12% off Black Friday sale) Said they are hoping to open an office/distribution centre in Canada sometime later this year. I paid $61 in duty fees but so far, seems to worth it

Ya. Those look bad ass. Does it have 4 separate switches for the different wavelengths? And do those run off the same driver?

they all run off the same Meanwell driver. Each of the 4 boards have an on/off switch for UV and a each have a switch for adding either a blue spectrum for veg or adding deep and far red for flowering
So if those are off, the regular lights will get more watts? That's what I'm confused on.

No idea, as the site just says the lights are dimmable from 50-500w of power (+/-5w) So I would assume they are part of the overall usage of the wattage. Maybe because my HLG was nearing 3 years use and now have a better reflective tent material. This board when cranked up just seems a lot brighter. Also have better diodes with the new board, so I guess it’s like comparing apples to oranges now.

I was recommended this light, The GooingTop QB2000, supposedly almost as good as the Spider Farmer SF-2000, Samsung diodes and Meanwell driver, but with 240W for only $150.

Sounds like an amazing deal, but some reviews were saying the build quality was a bit shoddy (exposed wires, etc... I have to leave my apartment sometimes for a few weeks, would make me a bit nervous. My neighbor checks in for me every few days, but still).

Would be stoked if it didn't seem shoddy... $300 for 480W
