The second impeachment of Donald trump*

Unless we know there are 16 GOP Senators who will vote to convict, I'm against this at this time. A better outcome would have been to censure. There was a strong push by the moderates of both parties for this. I predict we will lose the house in 2022 because of this. There was a strong backlash against the first Trumpf impeachment. I don't see how this will be any different.

.

The JCOS have publicly said they will not do any crazy shit for Mr Trumpf. The zone will be flooded with LEOS and National Guard. We get through the next week, then at our leisure we can build a case. At that point, maybe three months into Biden's term, the congress can either take up impeachment, or better yet, invoke Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

i was listening to the defenses house republicans made against impeachment. their main defense was, theres no need for this impeachment because this attack on the capitol is no big deal and doesn't fit the 25th amendment. its only a big deal because big tech and social media are making it a big deal. the articles of impeachment and motions are being rushed by house democrats. Biden will be president before the senates trial makes their final decision. the president also did not encourage or incite an attack, but only wanted a peaceful rally. thoughts?

This is a very open and visual rebuke of trump by both sides. Exactly what is needed.

Last time it was unilateral all Dems. Different now. Very different
It is this time too. What the hell are you watching?

Four GOP House members have said they were going to vote for it. We will see if there are any others when it gets to that point.
a majority of republican voters wont even know that some GOP members voted for it or even know the representatives name. they'll just say fake news because they didn't watch it and have no idea whats going on, so they need an excuse to relate to a political conversation.

Senate is going to be the one to watch. Statewide elections vs local elections make a big difference.

The Republicans might have baited the Democrats, but who knows what happens will happen with Trump.

He screwed up his big play already, Biden will be the next POTUS (unless Pence for a couple days maybe, I don't think he will be, because he doesn't want to be on the hook for either pardoning Trump or not).

Looking at the firepower in the capital right now, nothing is getting through that.

Trump's sad insurrection died as stupid as it ever lived. Barely, and completely overhyped.

The best the idiot MAGAts can hope for is their super spreaders get a handful of congress members sick.

there are going to be voters who aren't even going to watch live streams whats going on in the senate, and still complain about fake news and the media.

Of course there will be millions of those people, likely as much as 10 million people who feel that way.

And they will be continually spammed that kind of trolling propaganda across whatever they end up on, and hear the spin from Fox/Newmax/OANN/Breitbart/Hate radio to reenforce the big lies they get fed.

But over the next 2 years the Republicans don't have the control of making all kinds of bullshit rules and cleverly redacting reports so they can get away with it in the hearings to give the big lies more credibility.

2022 is where everything shifts to now. Republicans still have all the state control in key states with gerrymandered districts and the voter suppression they have been building on for decades. If the House/Senate control for Biden's last two years can stay/build up in the Democrats hands he can set up the next 4 years for some great things.

And if it is good enough he can let the Republicans and Democrats put forward their best candidates in a propaganda free election.

And that 20% of the population right now that are brainwashed into thinking Trump is a good idea, hopefully will be out of the fog of war that the Russian military has created with at least 6 years of constant attack on us.
