Hi everyone, i will finally have some time to build my veg light this weekend but want some advice first

My veg area is 70cm x 1.3m (27 x 51 inches)

I want to build 2 frames each 60 x 60cm (2feet x 2feet)

My driver is a HLG-150H-54B 2.5amps output (i have 5 of these, got them for £10 each :))

Do i

1. run 3 strips at 0.93amps on each frame with roughly 10 inches space between each strip.

2. run 4 strips at 0.7amps with roughly 5 inches between each strip.

3. As i have 5 drivers, i can run 4 strips on each frame as above, but use 2 drivers on each frame so 1 driver will run 2 strips at 1.4amps each

Whats do you guys recommend?

edit. i have 9 x samsung f- strips

The numbers are a bit off, the stated driver has the output of 2.5 A, so how can you run 2 strips at 1.4 each, thats a total of 2.8A. Same thing in all the other calculations, this going of your own statements, ihavent checked the driver spec.

Of the options you have i think 3 drivers, 3 strips each seem the wisest, it gets you around or just under 345w of output, but the actual draw would be more like 500 due to the extra voltage on those drivers.

Sorry, rechecking and this was for vegg, id go for 4 strips each on 2 drivers.

Thx @Rocket Soul

i was leaning towards the 4 strips, as i thought the space between 3 strips would be too wide, so option 2 it is.

I made a typo, the driver supplies 2.8amps
Not too bothered about the wasted power.
