So this is my first grow and don’t have any other systems to compare it to. I made 2 different lids depending on how many plants I want to run. I flipped back to the 3 lid but can already tell it’s going to get crowded.
The lids let light in without the tape so If I could of found a black tote and lid I probably would of got that one. The hose on the front is my depth gauge / drain and to see how much they drink. To the bottom of my net pots is 15 gallons.
I would purchase a air pump that can move 3x4 times your gallons in a hour.
I went by the double method at first and have already had to replace the air pump because not enough oxygen.
Sorry for the purple pics. I’m using 2 cheap hydrocrunch leds but will be purchasing a spider farmer 2000 for next run. For the amount of money that is charged for the kits on say super closet can be replicated for have the cost.
I almost went with the super closet kit but I like DIY stuff and have a hardware store down the street. However I do think I’d of liked the top feed they have also but again, you can figure out that on your own set up for 1/2 the cost.
If you like to tinker with stuff and don’t mind a few trips to the hardware store DIY. If you just want to buy it and it arrives and it’s plug-and-play order one. Id also like to say again , this is my first grow and have not had a harvest yet. My system COULD be shit... since I have nothing to compare to / lack of experience you might have far better results with a store bought. Let me see if I can find another I liked a lot. After this I may downsize the tote and only do 2 plants and scrog them to fill my 3x3 with the system I’ll try to find.
