Ok. Second try from seeds in a Dwc system. Gorilla Skittlez and Alaskan Purple auto.

Ok, so my first experimental run with a blue dream bag seed hasn’t went well so started two autos.
A Gorilla Skittlez Auto and a AlaskanPurple from seedsman.

Day 16 now.

AP on the left slight burn on the tips
GS on the right looking fine.
Both roots touching water in Rez.
Tent size - 3x3
Tent temps -73/81
Tent humidity - 37/41
T5 lighting 15 inches from plants
Medium - Hyrdoton cleaned 3 times and ph to 6 for 24 Hrs.
Rez water Ph - 5.2/5.4
Rez temp - 68/72.

1ML hydroguard and 1ML Sensi cal max for a 2.5 gal starter Rez. Will be feeding Advanced Nutes after week 3/4 of veg.
This run I would like to keep it simple. Minimal nutes and playing with different stuff and just learning how the plant works. Tips and pointers along are appreciated..
Thanks!

Much, that will save you from algae down the road. Other than your being able to control your tent temps, my setup is nearly identical. This is as she sits today

If it makes you feel better my ph, in the res, has been running ~6.2 it was dropping into the 4s so I threw some eggshells in a tea diffuser in the res. And it stabilized 6.1-6.3

Day 28
1/4 recommended ratio of AN - micro , veg and bloom.
Recommended ratio of sensi cal max and hyrdroguard.
No change in tent environment / water temps.

Built a new Rez to move them to my next change. Also plan to do some Lst and Scrog the best two so built a net.

Looks good, kinda like it's smiling at you.
I just noticed something in my new girls that seems to be potentially happening to you. What type of air stone are you using? And how big is your pump?

Let me find the link on them. I’m using two weighted air stones and a 60 Gph pump. I’ve already upgraded from a 30 Gph. I was told to double your Rez size and that’s the size pump you need but I think I need a bigger pump AGAIN. It produces lots of bubbles but doesn’t make them bubble and splash the roots enough. I just wasn’t trying to spend 90 bucks on a good one but think I’m about to.

i think I’m either about to build a aero cloner or buy a king cloner and start them in that the fist few weeks for max root growth.

This is what I have, it is running both of my girls in flower and my new auto.

I was on Ebay looking for cheap air stones and I found a guy selling diy air stones. A little research and I found out how he makes them, what he uses and, with what I picked up on Amazon, I can make easily a dozen.

The connectors were 15.00 cause I bought 3 packs. You could probably find cheaper, in fact the connectors I had on hand actually work as well. I got them on geek.com for about 3 bucks

This is a little one I made for a bog clone that worked over the first 3 clones but I couldn't keep it on the bottom of the tray on the second try. The tiny bubbles these make project the water 2-3 inches in the air

Have you tried it? It looks good. Does the water hit the lid or below the PVC sites? How hard does the water spray out?
Not yet but can’t wait to use it. It hits everywhere. When the lids on you can feel it hitting the top and see it coming up a tad put in the PVC and feel it hitting the sides. Lotssssss of splashing off the sidewalls i can only assume too.

Ok couldn’t wait to try it. Moved the little seedling and the under promising Alaskan purple Into it.
My tent is CRAMPED but it’s just that way for a few days to see how the cloner performs then I have a home for it in another area.
