The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Not sure, was I supposed to get a bill from Customs or something? I paid a fairly reasonable shipping charge and nothing else. Under $200 total, if it matters. Is there a threshold value before that comes into play?
Yea I’m not sure. This is my first time ordering anything from China.

You’re correct I can’t see a difference neither it just add that I remember reading and seeing that it was but even though the spectrum looks the same they can have a different reds and blue ratio that is possible not saying that that’s what Samsung dead because I’m leaning more towards of what y’all are saying now that they probably are the same see I’m not some person to argue just because that’s what I believe you guys actually showed to me and I listen to yawls debateWe had and yeah I’m with you now I think they probably are just the same Samsung tells people they’re different just to try and get more revenue
Actually right I can’t really tell a difference neither I just thought I remembered see Ende somewhere of the compared spectrums that the horticultural version had just a slightly different ratio but they look like the same like you said I can’t tell But truly the only way would be to have a lab test so we could actually see the red to blue ratio but They do have a different phosphorus coating because it can withstand more humidity and the environment of being in a grow tent compared to the LM301B that I do know is a fact
I think you have fallen victim for someone elses missunderstanding, you talk about Ende?
Afaik: samsung released a set of horti reds, lm351h if my memory dont fail me, and "rereleased" the lm301b as the lm301h based on separate processes after manufacturing: the binning is different, they bin the h in ppf and not lumens and it also seems like the h tend to have the better bins, even though companies like hlg had access to these good bins anyways with the b. There was also a few things in marketing: the antisulfurization coating was always present in the b but it wasnt marked as such until the h.
There was some datasheet mixup in the start, it seems like theyve corrected it now, but i think they basicly switched some spectrums out by misstake. The h sells for a premium price, so i think some board makers, who had to pay a premium h used these missunderstandings in order to make their own product look good. Im pretty sure GG ended up in some long and hard debate with someone, i think this person might be be the source of this missunderstanding. Ive seen so many versions of this: posted tests where the h and the b didnt have the same voltage bins and thus showing up as better, you name it, but its all been explainable by binning and not doing apples to apples tests. But the people who work closely with samsung and have a huge fetish for efficiency and great grow specs continued with the B (up until recently) as they could get same specs for cheaper with the B. Anyways....

I like and respect a man who can back down when showed that hes wrong, its not the most common in the internets...

Hi led peeps, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 320w quantum bar from kingbrite with the lm301b chip, my question is should I spend the extra and go with the cree reds or are the epistar fine for the cheaper price? tks

Crees really are better, but Epistar for just the red is a solid option. As long as its just the handful of reds.

The epis will give less light per watt than the lm301bs the crees will give more or less theen same. Id splurge on crees or go all white.

The epis usually come in such a small packaging that they cant reach nice efficiency. 15 extra per board, on top of already cheap ali prices seems like a small cost to me.

So is there any ‘hidden’ charges when you order from Alibaba? After you pay the seller for the product and the shipping costs, is that it, and it’s sent to your door?
I've heard a couple different things, just thought you guys would know for sure. Thanks.

Yeah man, I'm on a tight budget but kingbrite seems like great value though!

Depends where you live. And what courier service the sender has used.
UK imposes vat and duty. If the courier is DHL, in my experience, they are diligent in collecting as much money they can.

I just wanna show that I agree with the data that’s proven to me and not try to sell something that’s more expensive to make if

Tru dat. Forums and internet is the breeding ground of shitty ego, glad youre not like that.

Ive been looking at you posting about some ideas of multi channel boards etc looks interesting. Please keep us posted but bear in mind that most places in china your design might end up with them no matter how many contracts you have.

But i do remember once, on my first order with rita@meijiu: she showed me a 3 channel board they were doing for a client. I tried to jump at the opportunity of buying some but they wouldnt let me, apparently their client wouldnt allow it and it looked like an overseas client from the design work. Not sure what this says about things at meijiu but id say it could be one of the better places to go to, at least per my previous experience, but obviously i cannot guarantee anything with any of the Bubbahs, remember the 40 thieves...

I’m doing a pre-order that resembles HOG 480 that they sell for $850 my pre-order will sell for 550 and then after pre-order 650 And if you keep this secret you’ll be the first person that knows that when new LEDs become available instead of HO G Pl. and the new ones on the boards and getting more revenue you can send me back the boards I sent our will replace all the LEDs on there with the newest and greatestEspecially crazy how they came out with Cree Cree XPE creates VE two and so on along with customizable boards add action no cost And please don’t tell no one about this new board because I plan to give it to a couple to compare and I’ll send you a demo board it will have LH 351H 3535 Samsung diode’s N the strip forms instead of the boards and each LED will have a 120 or 90°

This way I can get the trash from the community like you and others to admit when I’m wrong and for people to show me the right way this way improvements can be made otherwise improvements are made from hardheaded people

If I go to one of those go fund me products would anybody be willing to pre-order do you lie and if so the ones that pre-order I have something special for you guys I am working on a new light And because from pre-order I will have enough money to fully fund it and whoever pre-ordered will receive the new light design for free and from the research I’m doing It’s going to be the best one from any company available as they’re not using this technology and with the new board they can be sent back to me and replace with new LED technology as it progresses saving cost and the ones who pre-ordered well actually cost nothing for the upgrade as a Park/promotion from now so hopefully not the end of my company if that was that happen and with this technology All I can say is one light with will be able to flower two tents chance cutting the cost of grow lights and efficiency improved because double the amount of production harvest is done with one light.

Not the genetics we usually discuss here, but is that a Bengal cat? Beautiful markings! I want a spotted cat, and for a while we thought we had to get a bigass crazy savannah cat for that, but I've seen a lot of people talking about bengals lately (and not just Joe Burrow).

Semi on-topic: my cats do not approve of the box Kingbrite sent us from Shenzhen, because it's just thick enough for the light and a little padding, and not big enough to climb into. I thought it was fine though.
My cat gets at least as excited as me when packages arrive.

So I've been saving my pennies and I have enough for my quantum bar from kingbrite tomorrow on Alibaba. This is my 1st purchase on Alibaba, I've created an Alibaba account. My question is do I need to do anything special besides putting the item in my cart and using paypal? (yeah I'm a little skittish sending off 375 to China)

You actually want to contact them through email and request what you want. Make sure you specify all 3000k diodes with added red and when you're set on your order, they'll email you a PayPal invoice. Don't get reamed on shipping's. If it's too much, walk away.
