I always heard that you don't need to worry about pH in organic soil, but that's not entirely true I've realized, lol. If you have the right balance of everything in the soil, sure the pH should be in the proper range, but I'm still learning the whole organic thing, and added too many Ca based amendments which want to buffer my pH up. Lesson learned, and I still have many more to learn. Microbes can only do so much to buffer the pH in my experience so far.

One cool thing about no-till is that the soil will develop a nice mycorrhizae hyphae network that will feed the plant what it wants. And that network will just get better and better over time. When people remix their old soil, they are destroying that network. Those guys that grow those record breaking 1000lb pumpkins are all about the mycorrhizae network.

I am getting one of those pens though soon. I actually almost ordered one last night, lol.
I kinda get the whole organic thing, its just not "my thing".. I can understand how some people would get a nature boner over the whole idea, but I'm just not one of those people. Maybe if I just had a patient card and was doing a few home grown, I might could get into it. Running a large crop, it's just not practical. Good on ya for going organic tho!.. You're keeping the price down on us bottle nute users LOL!

There are so many ways to grow this plant, everyone just has to figure out a system that works for them. I have grown so many different ways over the years and learned so much doing that. Just growing one strain in one system in one location for a long time doesn't teach you much but having experience in different climates, systems and strains really opens up the door to learning. One thing I do know, when you find genetics that like what you are trying to do, things get a lot easier and yields go way up.

... And this guy^^^ has taught me that! I can't wait to see the finals on this run with Ethos Genetics clones! I've never had such an even field of buds!

Well that is if I'm invited, haha.
Sometime later this summer around July probably, I plan to run from Colorado down to Oklahoma to visit some peeps I have met on here and a few friends that moved there from Colorado. Make it a little vacation since I hardly ever get out of state. I would definitely like to stop by the compound and visit @DoubleAtotheRON provided that he is down for that. Perhaps you can make the trip too @PadawanWarrior I forget where you are located.

Hell yeah! That would be awesome. Won’t have a grow going, just some mothers, but it would be great to meet you both and talk shop, and try some of our latest goodies. We have another home on the 12 acres with an open bar, 60 ft porch by the pond. You can fish, drink, smoke, shoot guns, blow up some tanerite, anything goes out here. No laws, unless you have a rocket launcher.

Well that all sounds like a great time! I will make sure to leave my RPG at home.

I'm just north of you in Conifer. I would love to visit his compound too. I can just throw out a sleeping bag in the middle of his garden. It would be just like camping, lol.

Holy shit man. What can't you like about that offer. Fishing, drinking, smoking, shooting, is tempting enough. Then you have to talk about blowing shit up. I might show up at your front door tomorrow, lol. I had a lot of fun with that shit when I was younger. If I did now what I was doing then I would surely be screwed, lol.

I met a new friend in 7th grade, and his dad was a chemist. Anyways. he told his kid about all these crazy recipes. The smoke bomb recipe was my favorite. 50% regular white sugar, 50% potassium nitrate. For the potassium nitrate I bought stump remover back then because it was a nice fine powder. Mix the shit together, light it and beware. The shit gets hot as fuck.

I did a bit of damage once with some mailboxes, and the whole neighborhood was smoked out. My friends and I were laughing our asses off, but I did melt a couple mailboxes that I didn't intend too, lol. I really wasn't trying to cause any damage, but that shit was crazy. It was only a quart mason jar about 1/2 full.

His dad taught him compound explosives too, but that's another subject, lol.
