Actually it started tanking not long after dotard got in. Yeah it had peaks and set records. But with manufacturing etc. tanking it's just a matter of time before people have borrowed until they are sick of it. Then they pull back realizing they have to pay for it. Negative interests on the way? Probably. Pension funds will fail etc. Enjoy the ride. At least white supremacists are doing well.

All the while Trump keeps spouting that tariffs are "income", and that China is paying for them LOL

It is almost like they think Trump worked all those shifts for them the last three years to earn the money they added to their accounts. The money that has barely grown faster than the payments they were already adding.
i never figured the math out. how does a 401k gain 60%, 70% or 80% if the market went from 24000 (obama) to 29000(trump highest).

Duh! Not all people invest in the same stocks. You've been smoking marijuana again haven't you?
i would think only very few, very savvy investors made that much profit. Joe Lunchpail didn't do this.

but in general, the stocks keep going up which means your buying power of them goes down.

i'm only in mutual funds, not indivdual stocks

The best investment would be to be able print money from thin air and then lend it out and get interest payments from Joe Lunchpail.

Cannabis businesses have been great for shorting. Very risky though, but if diversified enough, and you get out quickly enough, it's been a nice addition to the portfolio.
