My largest bud weighed (dry and trimmed):

Ok, this thread is for fun, shits and giggles and good times. Hopefully we can get a lot of laughs.

What is the weight of the heaviest bud you ever grew (dry weight please), you can also include buds you saw, had, a friend showed you so long as you saw it in person. We don't care about quality here, just pure size. A dick measuring contest if you will. Of course quality matters, it's just not relevant in this thread. Here it's only size that matters (thats what she said). :lol:

Lets try to avoid the fishing stories and stick to reality, or not, who cares.

Pics if ya got em. Lets see these logs. As Duke would say, roll that beautiful bud footage. I also put a poll for shits and grins.

I have had buds in the 2 - 3 ounce range in the past, mostly with Kandy Kush in DWC. She would make lots of them too. Wet they were as wide as a BIC lighter is long and about 14-16 inches long. Don't have any pics from back then, wish I did. I wonder what that plant woulda done if she was pruned to only grow a few colas as I had massive scrogged plants. I know there are bigger buds out there, lets see what you all got!

Well if someone has a bud that weighs more than a pound dry I sure wanna see it! lol That would be schweet. I suppose I shoulda put an option for larger but honestly I hit enter after typing "-0 grams" and that posted the thread before I reviewed my work.

Yeah I remember seeing a picture in high times in the 90's where only one large bud was left at the top of a plant about 3.5 feet tall. That bud was massive. Sorta like only letting a watermelon plant grow one watermelon. Works with tomatoes, and pumpkins too among other things... I kinda wanna do that in my grow someday on one of my oddball plants. Just need that perfect strain for it.

Yeah, I see the 2 liter bottle sized buds and I just haven't ever produced them. I have only grown indoors with limited height. Consequently, I have always topped and LST'd to control vertical growth. "Wide and flat"

I do the LST and SCROG with mine because I get better yields with less plants that way. So yeah growing the largest nug is neat and all but yeah not good to overall yields, plus the increased chances of botrytis. I have had ppl say they hate big nugs because when they break down a pound of buds that weigh 3/4 - 1 ounce each they lose a lot of stem weight. Then I have had people say they want those big logs, probably to impress their friends. There was a Royals pitcher that used to score a pound of colas from me every once in a while and he would call them ball bats and share them with his buddies. I asked him how they pass the piss tests and stuff and he told me that the club has a large supply of various cleansing drinks and stuff that are free to the players, still sketch but hey what do I know, fucker bought the weed maybe he didn't smoke it but someone sure did.

When growing outdoors I allow my plants to do whatever they want as I think of a outdoor grow as a seasonal grow, (they will finish whenever they get done), so in that kind of grow, its real easy to pull 12 - 24 zip tops. But for my indoor grows, the max I want to spend on a single grow cycle is 110 days, so for me, a single topping and spreading them out, (flattening them), gets me usually 28 or 32 tops that average out to 6 - 7 grams each using 3 gallon pots. And i only jar up my tops, as I am extremely picky about the flower I smoke and grow for the patients I care for. But I don't throw the rest away, cause if its sugary enough it goes into a edibles bin that I make butter and candies with.

Had one last crop that was right around 20g dried. That was a topped plant, I think that strain could def grow some really big colas if it wasn't topped

Ganja gurl that thing is huge lol, nice job
