Is this standard root rot?

When looking at the roots coming out of the net pot you can see dark black spots and fuzzy crap growing off same roots. It doesn't look like any normal rot I've seen before. Added picture also of the whole root ball from the other side, where it all looks white. The photo and HPS make it look more orange/brown than it actually is, sorry about that . Can anyone tell me what I'm looking at? Normal rot or some other fungus?

That spot is not pythium, it looks like a mold growth. The black spots on the roots concern me. You may want to hit it with some actinovate?
