I currently have 2 Early Miss Autoflowers going purchased from Crop King seeds. The one I’m curious about is currently 40 days old and she’s budding beautifully but seems to have come to a halt. I’ve done some LST and no nutes for the 1st month and 1/4 Tiger bloom and Grow big with a constant run off of about 6.3-6.8 PH, also adding 5ML MagCal per feeding of 1 gallon. She’s in a 5 gallon fabric pot with FFOF and BioBizz compost soil amendment and a 200w HLG QB288 sitting at 24 inches. The pipe cleaners and sticks were removed cause the they weren’t holding well in the soil after the watering.

Nice try.
I don't know what the problems are....but you got plenty.
Next time, one plant - one pot.

Truthfully..... Did you feed them as young seedlings?

Sorry, but I don't think you'll get a 1/2 oz.

Better luck next time

It’s only one plant in this pot, the other plant has its own. What problems are there ? I just gave it it’s first feeding

Like Hugo said. Not sure what but something bad happened.
I'm on my first grow and these were 50 days old at time of photo20190727_195331.jpg 20190725_200021.jpg They are in 22" round 17gal pots.
3 plants total
Canopy takes up 3x3.

Not sure what happend to yours but they look way small...

My guess is that the plants have had a ton of stress from moving, transplanting, or for some reason, it was damaged in the seedling stage, but it's definitely an issue plant, at this point I would keep doing what you're doing and see what happens.

Hmm, maybe more light needed, a little too close possibly is all that comes to mind. The leaves look damaged here and there like tears or something? A little twisted - maybe make sure your ph meter is calibrated too... Keep at it! They don't look that bad, just a little beat up and small...

Okay thanks guys ! Yeah I think it might be heat stress stunted her early on, we had a 100+ heat wave for a couple of weeks when she was a seedling I had another plant die during it. Anyways I’ll keep at it thanks for the input. Should I let her finish out then ?

I've never grown autos, but I would let them finish I think... Start some news seeds too though if you can, if those weren't autos I would suggest maybe trying a reveg or clone them for a super-crop... I don't know if you can do that with autos though.

Yeah, that heat early on probably doomed it...

Greetings JGrizz. I'm in the middle of my own first grow. Photos are doing well with the heat (110 + everyday). They are not as bushy as I'd like, but healthy. Autos were another story. They didn't take the heat well at all. They all survived, but the majority I've chopped have been about 10" high with little yield. I've got 6 left that are decent, but I'm really looking forward to the photos. The autos were mostly for practice.

I plan on giving photos a try my next grow around ! I’m a little bummed cause my plant is a lost cause but it’s all a learning experience.

I have a second one going that’s much healthier, yeah I plan on doing regular next, ive been told they’re a little more forgiving for noobie mistakes.
You will enjoy growing reg seeds there is more time to manipulate the plant. I found that experimenting with techniques early on teaches you a ton. My first grow was just seeds I had saved from some really dank shit I had been lucky enough to have found some seeds in an ounce baggie once in a while and kept them. I played with all kinds of techniques and tricks

Well well well .... crop king.

Had inconsistent results with their stock ... so that can be an issue.

1. Why such a shallow soil depth ? .... what probably happened is s soon as roots hit bottom , it decided to flower as a stress response, which DOES HAPPEN.

2. Autos are always over thought .... simple plant seed and run kind of plant. FFOF by itself ( no Nutes added ) CAN GROW AN AUTO FOR WEEKS ALONE on just water.

3. Grow Big is N heavy and not needed during flower ( regardless of chart ) .... it is a common belief that certain bottles need to be run through grow. Tiger bloom is fine , but they salt up your medium ft because soil is already highly charged.....

Their SOIL ALONE is enough to run autos with nothing else.
They just want you to buy more bottles.

EXAMPLE:

Running straight soil ( no additional Nutes .... none ) ..... ph water 6.3 - 6.5 ( no more no less )
Soil is prebuffered to 6.3 . No BLOODY distilled , RO , Rain water, or unicorn piss. Just common tap water - regular municipality water has cal and mag intact.

If you range the ph and ppm right from the start...... you will be fine.
No need to check runoff or other bullshit. The key is making sure of what you put in , not what comes out.

FFOF is highly ammended and sometimes slightly burns ... but plant will acclimate to it , ESPECIALLY without adding more Nutes on top of it.

Instead of Nutes , you can do a simple recharge ( if needed ) by top dressing with more soil and simply watering it in.

Always maximize the final grow container with adequate sol space ... because if it doesn’t have the space to root out prolly in its very short veg stage , then this will happen .... always.

And it is a learning experience.... less is more with autos.

Give them room and they will get pretty big ...

i 2nd not growing autos. try some photoperiods!

looks like you've kept it alive this far so you're already doing better than most their first time.

Thanks for all the info, in lamest terms keep it simple and the plant will grow as it should. Yeah I’ve heard mixed reviews about CKS but I like to test things for myself and now I know lol you’re right about FFOF having enough nutes for awhile cause I did a regular watering at 20 days, no nutes added at this point and the runoff was 1200-1300 PPM and my plant had very slight nute burn.

My 1st few runs with autos was crop king early miss. 20190610_121734.jpg Still have some seeds. Gonna use them up real soon. They are small plants but I still got 1.5 oz per plant I grew in just ffof and just watered and added nothing until flower which was about 4 to 5 weeks for me then did a simple topdress of the fox farms happy frog jump start and some extra bone meal and Epsom salt and just keep watering till it's done. Lst starting about week 2 or 3 when you get your 3rd set of proper leaves or so. And definitely get some soft wire ties and paper clamps for the lst. They are cheap and reusable and will help your lst endeavors. I will say, I moved away from crop king after the experience. Out of the 5 i grew 2 of them mutated horribly and affected yeild in a negative way. 1 mutated a bit but not enough to affect anything. I got auto seeds from fastbuds. And the difference in genetics is night and day. I have a green crack that I will pull 3 ozs from easy and some beautiful gorilla glue going from them as well.20190730_210106.jpg I've heard real good things about mephisto auto genetics as well.
