I learned that I didn't need to buy cannabis specific nutrients and that the same nutrients that I use for everything else work just fine.
I learned to make crosses and seeds.
I learned not to believe most of what you see or read on the internet especially youtube.
I learned that cannabis is just a plant and the same techniques used to grow healthy houseplants, vegetable, and flowers will work for cannabis.
I learned that the less you tinker with your plants the better they grow.
I learned not to freak out from every little blemish on a leaf.

I've been growing things for almost fifty years. Cannabis is just another plant. Everything you need to grow it can be found in the garden center of any big box store.

What I learned my first grow - bigger ain’t always betta. My first plants reached 6’ in height and wrapped themselves around my HID. I got far more yield on later runs where I implemented topping techniques and kept the plants around 3 feet when finished.

Growing your own is more rewarding even if it's not the best of the best. I know exactly how it was grown and never treated with pesticides or other chemicals.

I don’t use bottled products anymore completely organic now.
OMRI, every since I started using products with this labeling, things changed drastically...I don’t get the burnt tips and leaves are beautiful... to be honest they are growing to fast...

My first couple indoor grows went great, it was my 3rd I noticed a couple patches of white on lower fan leaves? Powdery mildew, fortunately I caught it early and during the veg. Now I make sure plenty of moving air and ventilation and check plants good at least 2 times a week. Keep your grow room clean.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS . I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as many are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info! I saw you (probably) post this before but stupidly passed it over assuming it was spam. Some of it is p. good, but that's such a weird site for it to be on.

My first couple of grows were less than stellar as I had bought in to all of the cannabis industries marketing hype. But after realizing that it's at the same level as used car salesman I just went to growing as I do any other plant. Basic nutrients, good grow medium, good light, and just leave them alone to grow and do their thing. It's been a cakewalk ever since. In fact, I've found cannabis to be one of the easiest plants to grow.
