1st time grow

This is my first grow, i am using a 4x4x7 veg space and i have a 5x5x7 flower tent i do have another tlside of my 4x4 that a separate 2x4 room for clones and seedling also have a closet i was thinking of using for my mothers. Right now i have 8 plants going which were started jan. 16,
I have been topping then and training them since they we're transplanted into 3 gal smart pots. Im running a 600 watt mh light air cooled in my 4x4 and 1000 wat hps in my flower tent with 4 vertical 2 ft leds. They are in fox farm ocean soil and on the fox farm nutrients.i water every other day and give nutrients every other feeding. I have already took off under growth and defoliate the plants to keep canopy even and training them they keep producing more tops each time i do this and main stalks are getting big as hell. Each branch is making some nice tops off them now so guess im going to be in veg longer as i want to maximize my space and plants. I have been doing alot of different training techniques and definitely see it paying off. Im thinkimg I will continue to train and veg for around 3 more weeks then see about flipping depending on sizes by then.

March 5th still vegging recovered great so far from being groomed, they got a good feeding yesterday with nutrients and perked right up. Definitely filling back out great think im going to split them up for harvest in 2 separate tents. Going to do 4 and 4 one set in a 4x4 with a 600 watt hps and another set in a 5x5 with a 1000 watt hps. So far i can say I'm pleased with the growth and hoping to continue with great results. Any advice or info is greatly appreciated and welcome.

Looks good man. very clean and the plants look healthy.

Love the idea of spliitting them off into 2 flowering tents.

Will be fun and interesting to see the comparison between both tents 1000w vs 600w

best of luck moving forward.

Thanks man appreciate it im trying. I figured i would split them being as I have a few that are trained a little different and really getting big dont want to cramp them in flower

Man just got home from work went to fill up my humidifier and damn girls are looking fabulous. I rotated them and mist them down real good checked soil and still damp in middle so will hold off on watering today but will check tonight again to be sure.hope my other stuff comes tomorrow so i can flip them next week and have everything ready. This should be fun watching them bish out till then being as every day they get so many more shoots and leaves. defininetly glad i made the decision to split them up between the 2 tents to flower cause with all i did to them far as training ther going to definitely need the space.

If it helps, I raise my pots off the ground with a grating or something so they get air all around. I think it helps them dry more evenly. When my pots start getting light, they are evenly light instead of feeling bottom heavy if you get my meaning.

Yep, i use those small dish racks/grates from walmart, they are like 6 inches tall and perfect size for 5g pots to sit on top of .

I found these, made for the bottom of a 5-gal bucket. They're only good up to a 3 gallon fabric pot due to the diameter. But they are sturdy. I use these to pick the pots up by.

I like those better than mine! I have a roller plant caddy with a drain in the middle, then that grid thing on top. probably adds 6" to the height.

Yes these are nice not as Hugh but definitely convenient with the wheels and open bottoms for air

Got some more stuff today and yesterday and been working on my rooms. Took some clones and ready germ a couple seeds. Plants are looking great and growing like crazy. They are about a foot and a half now and will be getting another nutrients water tomorrow. Little more work on veg room to be complete but not much. Looking for suggestions on nutrients if anyone has any.

I'll let you know in about 3-4 months :) I am dropping 4 seeds with the sole purpose of trying different nutes on each one to find a solution for me.

I have used the Fox Farms stuff up until now, but I'm trying other stuff to see if it's less harsh on the leaves towards harvest. Produces great buds, but tends to get nute-burn easily.

One thing I have noticed is that if you see a reliable company coming out with a new product, it is probably better than the old one, but they cant change the old one because so many people swear by it.
