Hi all. A friend of mine is growing and thinks he will yield 10 oz from these 6 plants. All in say 8ltr pots under air cooled 600w hps. Temps are between 69 and 78. With humidity between 42% and 60%. Can't remember the exact nutrients he's using. It's grown in coco coir. 4 of them have been trained and bent etc and two have been left. It's bubblegum xl, fruit spirit, critical, white widow, ice and another random one, 4 of them are about 1 ft high and 2 are about 2 ft high. The tent in 2 meters by 1.2 I believe. There is shit loads of colas this pic was taken four days ago

Fill your area next time.
Was thinking the same thing! But he was worried it was gonna over crowd them. Always next time lol and 16 oz wow. Sounds a lot but it's only just over 2 and half of each plant ain't it. They have been vegging for 5 weeks but just seem to take so long growing

Weight per plant is a non issue. It is weight per light and area. I use a 630 and get 20-22. Plant training and filling your area will have the most influence over yield. Not how many plants.

Tell your friend to stop worrying about final yield and focus on healthy plants until harvest. They might look great now but he has a ways to go and things can go bad rapidly in flower. I've seen too many grows start out nice and then go bad. Usually caused by excessive use of too many products. Specifically bloom boosters. I won't even speculate on yield at this point.

To be honest if those plants grow to their potential you wont have the room unlesss you flip soon. It will def be crowded at the very least. Throw up a scrog net well help separate the colas.

It was switched to 12/12 on xmas day as I said they will grow maybe twice the size. And have grown lots since the switch!

He's not worried in the slightest about yield I was just curious. But your right things can go bad quick but I can't see that happening myself. I hope lol

So if I had 4 plants with 4 weeks vegging time and 1 plant with 4 weeks vegging time I'd get the same, I get you can get one plant that can yield the same as four butt surly it takes much more time vegging etc. Plus it's 6 different strains not just the one.

Not at all 1 plant would yield the same as 4 only if trained to fill the area. So the veg time would be longer. I do 9 plants in a 4x4 so there is less veg time. If I only did 4 plants I would have to train a lot more and veg longer.

After flip they will double even triple in size but it's more up than out.

Yeah that's the answer I was hoping for lol. That's why it's better to have more plants and less veg time IMO so you get quicker harvest times and it they stretch its all good there only a ft high :)
