Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I submitted my app online on August 5.
I recieved a letter on Oct 19th saying incomplete app, emailed what they needed the same day.
Emailed them on Oct 25th to see if it was recieved and correct.
They replied on October 29th saying that I was approved and my card was sent to printers. They said I should recieve it in 10 to 14 days... it's now November 15th and it still has not arrived. It's been 102 days since they recieved my app.
I sent an email yesterday asking if I should have recieved it by now and have not gotten a response yet :-(

Holy crap.. I just called out of curiosity.. and it rang and I talked to a human being!
He looked me up in 2 seconds and confirmed I have been approved and it was recently sent out for printing. He told me I should expect to see it in 10-14 business days.
Sorry to all of those that will chastise me for wasting 30 seconds of this mans time. I’m just greatful I got an answer. I also did not receive any E-Mail confirming my application approval. Boy was I shocked when the phone rang and someone picked up.
TIMELINE
Applied online 9/6
Confirmed approval by telephone 11/15
Card expected in 10-14 business days.
My next post will include when I received my Card.

Don’t lose faith people.. there’s light at the end of the tunnel!
Heck yeah!!

Congrats man!! Good to hear they have got to the September apps!! I’m 2 weeks behind you!

Any day now.. it’s gotta be there soon! Take into account 10-14 business days and recent holidays.. fingers crossed it’s in your mailbox tomorrow. Sign up for informed delivery on usps.com.. its free, and you’ll see what to expect each morning.

I am hoping! I do use informed delivery, but it's disappointing when I check and it's all junk mail lol. 102 days is a crazy long time to see if a medicine will even work for me. I have smoked pot 2 times in my life and I was a teenager. Now I need pain relief. Everyday I open informed delivery thinking Will today be the day that I can get a break from pain and relax? Then informed delivery says nope but here is a 50 cent coupon for ketchup...

That’s a bummer.. try an indica for pain relief.. easy on the edibles when you first start.

So it's been 17 days not 14 with a federal holiday in there.

Fridays are not very meeting heavy for me at work so I spent the last 40 minutes in the hold queue and finally got through to a live person! She said my application was approved yesterday and should receive card within 10-14 business days.

So that means that my application submitted on September 5th took until November 15th to be reviewed. Seems like you are looking at 10 weeks before they get to look at a application to me.

Hopefully I'm right behind you. I applied Sept. 13 and saw my CC billed on the 16th I believe.

Not so bad for me. If they stick to that timeline for me I'll have 9 days to get it and be able to get to a dispensary. So it will surely show up in 10.

Did you submit application online?

Maybe this question is answered elsewhere in this thread, but I didn't take the time to read all 163 pages of posts looking for it :) Is the day your credit card payment to the state is processed the date the countdown starts? Or is it the date your application is submitted?

Another question: a friend who applied and was approved through The Healing Clinic in Chicago about a month after me said he was told that after Dec. 1st he'd be able to use his paperwork as a 'provisional' card, instead of waiting for the actual hard copy of the card. This is supposedly a provision in the opioid alternative program that goes into effect on that date. This would be great news of course, but because I haven't heard anything else about this, I have my doubts about whether this info is accurate.

Does anyone here have any insight on this?

Well if you do it online that day is the same or at least it was for me. Seems that most peopl start the countdown the day they submit the online application or when they send one in the mail. 90 days from the day you mailed it or submitted it online seems to be a good average. day 72 for me today and seems I should have it at the latest in 10-14 business days from yesterday, so that would be by December 7th for me which would be 93 calendar days from submitted to getting the card, hopefully it here sooner and doesnt take all 14 business days.

I talked to my dispensary of choice last week to ask that question since it didnt seem that my card was coming anytime soon, they let me know they have heard nothing about how the provisional card will work. It is Illinois the deadline to have a process in place was 12/1, it doesnt mean they will have that process working. It will be more than just your paperwork, the state will have to give you something along with your receipt of payment to the state. The state could surprise us all but I highly doubt they will meet the deadline and have communicated a process to everyone.

I recommend reaching out to the dispensary you picked on your application, the one I did has been great at answering my questions about anything related to the process.

Thanks. I applied through The Healing Clinic (which I'd recommend- they make the process really easy), and I assume that the day they approved me is the day they submitted my paperwork to the state. But I just checked, and my payment wasn't processed by the state until around a week later.
