Week 7 flowering - Yield vs Flush (Seeking Advice)

Hey guys,

So im close to harvest on my third grow. Ladies packing on some good nugs (images attached). Their Scent is heavenly to put it bluntly.

I need your advice on whether to continue flushing or go back to adding in nutes for higher yields.

Status: Ive started a 2 week flush (2x days ago) . Im on Week 7 of flower.

Examination: upon 6x magnification trichomes appear to be a mix of mostly cloudy with some clear and no amber.

Pistols appear roughly (80% white 20% amber) on top nugs. Majority of lower nugs still have pistols that are immature (standing steady / all white).

Attached close up images for your viewing pleasure .

Should i continue to flush for x2 weeks or give those ladies nutes again for a potentially higher yield?

I don’t see any pics so hard to see how ripe it is. What strain are you growing? I grow a 10 week and leach for a week and then flush for the last week.

That plant has a long way to go.

Not even close ... you have at least 3 weeks .... you are shooting yourself in the foot if you are flushing at this time .

Week 7 is like 49 days .... most buds will finish UNDER 90 . ( give or take )
Sativas can run 13 weeks or more.

This one of the weeks where the flowers will bulk and put on weight.
By FLUSHING... you are doing no more than leaching / stripping the medium.

The flushing DRAMA among growers basically is a whole headache upon itself.
When is the last time you flushed a tomato plant or orange tree ?

Some will do it no matter the myths about REMOVING Nutes from plant.
IF you EVER “HAVE TO FLUSH “ it’s because of grower errors.
Too much feed , medium got hella salt buildup . You will NEVER REMOVE what the plant has stored up.
It must burn thru it’s reserves to bounce back . Part of the reason some bud keeps the green taste ..... leaves wil naturally fade and drop as it FINISHES. Growers will TAPER OFF the bloom feed as it matures and ripens ( based on finishing triches ) .

One of the EASIEST ways to finish , is just water ( normal amount ) NOT TIL RUNOFF . Just enough to water it. Plant will pull ONLY what it wants as it nears finish. It will still process sugars and starches on its own . And will sometimes slow down in water uptake too.

I like this. Im im on my 3rd grow and ppl keep telling me to flush for two weeks due to being abel to taste a little bit of chemicals. I have been thinking about doing a flush but dont 5hink i will now lol

Personally I’ve done it both ways and I have got a clean burn white ash on crops that weren’t flushed but I just prefer to do a quick leach and flush because it’s easy and I feel like it’s cheap insurance incase there’s some extra salts built up. Many growers are not experts don’t have perfect grows and or fully understand ec. IMO flushing could potentially salvage a less than perfect run.

you have 4-5 weeks left. continue feeding (chill on the N, + on the PK) and if possible buy another light.
