Then don't treat this like it's two children in a snit. You trivialize what's going on either through ignorance or deliberately, it's hard to tell.

The mayor is not at this time able to deny permits and is seeking changes in ordinances that will allow him to do so. Unfortunately, Proud Boys are forcing him to do so. After more than a hundred years they are making the changes in ordinances necessary.

You are just throwing shit to see where it sticks. Proud Boys are Trump's fascist enforcement gang and were caught preparing for mass murder at a demonstration that I was in. We were thousands of peaceful people and they had guns trained on us.

What exactly are Proud Boys demonstrating FOR? What wrong are they demonstrating to correct? As far as I can tell, they are projecting white power and are ready to take the next violent step.

Portland's Antifa haven't hurt anybody. Quite a few have been hurt by Proud Boy goons, however.

What Antifa ARE doing is giving the mayor the justification for shutting down Proud Boys and Patriot's Prayer demonstrations. No need to ban Antifa, they live here peacefully. Ban the fascists from traveling to Portland for a white power demonstration and the good people in Antifa will go about their daily affairs in Portland as good citizens.

I did not show up for a fight. Here again, you are projecting. Thousands of us showed up to witness and block fascists from marching in our streets. We also show up to give our politicians a message. We show up and vote too. The strategy all along has been to give our mayor evidence that justifies legal actions that will shut down their demonstration. Also give our mayor the message that we will support him if he does so. The Antifa who were beaten by fascist goons are heroes.

I would not be surprised! Clearly my political views do not agree with many here so I must falsely be labeled a fascist, nazi, white supremacist, Trump supporter, racist, etc. What I support is coming together peacefully and discussing issues. How threatening is that?

You clearly went looking for a fight. If they had a valid permit to protest, they were legal, even if offensive. Your actions were not. Stopping a permitted march is asking for a fight, imo, and giving them a much larger platform via the media attention. Can't you see that Antifa uses fascist tactics?
