The Chronicles of Lola Grows Garden

I pulled 7 leaves from each plant this evening, I guess I’ll have to do more because they still look bushy ( except tall one) It’s hard because it’s conflicting opinions on removing leaves. It seems to work out for everyone who tries but I may end up not so lucky not knowing what I’m doing. Catch 22
I think you can stay well in your comfort zone and make decisions about removing lowers and areas with restricted airflow. As they mature, you'll see the leaves that aren't really in the game anymore. Your canopy is so healthy I have to think you are about to see some light starvation underneath. A nice thing about this sort of thing is that a light touch on it wont hurt.
Edit to say nicely done, they'll be happy

That sounds like the best way for me , removing them as they mature. I do see where fan leaves cover bud sites I just assumed the light would penetrate through.
I didn't think it would light the bottom but at least the majority of the plant.

You have healthy, moderately dense growth, spacing is looking good, not going to light the bottom, imagine one of your girls in the same environment without her sisters to the left and right.
Sometimes I say things to people who aren't participating in the conversation.

She’d be lit 360•
Yes, I know it won’t reach the bottom. Those are the leaves that always end up dying. When I get through my toxic N mishap I’ll be able to pull more without worrying so much.

My pleasure!

Just to be clear, the canopy bottom is determined by the grower, who defols/lollipops to the point where ppfd is close to this range.
I paid attention to the bottom of the plants in the pic.... I know what has to be done. My only concern is am I too late.

Never too late...and third week is perfect when doing defol/lollipop; plants have committed to repro, defol/lollipop wont drive new leaves or laterals....all the saved energy goes to remaining buds.

Day 22
I attempted heavy defoliation , all I can do now is wait . I hope I didn’t go overboard because they look all sad and skinny.
