Can I clone a broken branch once flowering has started?

Had a big storm and a large branch broke off. This plant has just started the flowering stage and I wonder if I can clone it. I don't think it will survive regardless how much i cut off the leaves and smother it with rooting compound. Here's a picture of the branch I stuck in a pot just after the storm. i've removed alot of leaves but i reckon it's toast.
any words of wisdom?

You can take clippings and create clones but I doubt anyone can get a branch that woody to root in one piece

Yes. Don't throw the towel in. Reveg it. Get it under weak light. Read up on flowering clones and monstercropping.

I have scraped the outer layer of stem off on older woody plants and rooted them. It takes a while but scraping that outer protective sheath off is necessary.

Clone treatment as usual. I recommend Mykos or other mycchorizae after cloning gel .
