The Internet of Things

Hey guys! Im curious to get some input on what you all see as to the implications of the new 5G Internet of Things. Essentially everything in the world will have the ability to communicate datasets through this tiny little chip they invented. This means things can communicate with one another to ensure the guaranteed quality operation of an object.

What does this mean for us?

IOT is great for growing though...I've seen people diy their own hydroponics temperature sensor based on IOT so they can check their solution temperature at work and log the hourly change of solution temperature throughout the day via their phone...pretty neat.

I believe it's really advantageous way of developing. But still, I suppose that 5G isn't near future. I mean, we won't see it widely implemented in 2-3 years. Now the trend is second-screen apps and tv apps development. I think it's an interesting thing.
