Don't know what you really mean.
Yeah i agree, semaphore you need to include more info like budget, expectations and so on.

You're question is a bit like me asking which chocolate people suggest is best for a cake lol

Sorry, let me rephrase if I wanted to achieve say 600watt HPS equivalent for that grow size, which QB would be sufficient?

Would two of these give me the desired effect ? qb288-quantum-board

Sorry im completely clueless how to interpret the LED vs old HPS stuff.

Apologies about that, im just getting bogged down with so much information out there i just threw out a random question lol.

For a 600w hps you'll need around 350-400w setup.
To me that says 4 x 288 boards.
Again its all relative to the rest of your setup and your expectations.

I don't run things the way i see just about everyone else doing it.

Don't apologise and dont worry :peace:

Just as an fyi.
I havent used quantum boards so someone with real life experience of them would likely be better to advise you but i don't think im that far off the mark tbf

I'm using the 135w 288 quantum board to replace a 250w HID for my 2x2 grow room, I still need to see how it performs in late flowering but so far it's all guuuud
So I guess you're good if you double that

A 4*4 is 4 times the space of a 2*2

Ive got 2 of the 260w kits with the v2 boards, in same sized tent. Very happy with the results im seeing. Used to have a 1k hps in there.

4x4 = 16 square feet. 10.764 square feet is a square meter. (10.764 x 2) / 16.. So 1.3455 square meters.

For a 4x4 space you want at least 4 boards at a little over 500w but that would beat your 600w hps easily.. if you go with less than that id just consider a smaller grow room

Oops haha
I'm from Europe and not used to the imperial system
I just do the easy maths lol
2*2=4 , 4*4=16

I've had to work with metric, Japanese, UK imperial and US imperial most of my working life but in the beginning i remembered rulers from school for conversions. 1ft is pretty much 300mm (304.8 actually but close enough ☺)

That's what i figured but......
4 boards gives an even spread, future scope for CO² etc and dimming ups the efficiency so winning all round :bigjoint:
