Hi Folks,

In theory I am in week 7, only 1 week to harvest, yet my buds dont look ready.....Should I start flushing my AF now? Your thoughts?

No need to flush. The only thing it does is flush your soil, you can't flush nutrients out of a plant. If your feeding heavy maybe cut back a little. The real secret to good smoke is in the dry/cure.
Do you know where to find a great tutorial on the dry / cure process?

Do you have a microscope or at least a jewelers loup to determine color of trichomes? That's really the only way to determine readiness with any high level of certianty...flushing is a bit controversial...personally, I do lower my ppms to about 50-100 for at least 4-7 days before harvest in hydroponics, but I've never tested out not flushing at all. If you do decide to flush, timing will be no different than a normal photoperiod strain...in soil I think flush is 7-14 days? Not 100% sure on that, haven't done soil in years.

I just ordered a small pocket microscope and hydrometer. Thanks for your response brother!!!

No problem at all! Yeah whenever my plants are nearing the end of their rope, say, the last 2-4 weeks before chop, I always cut back feeding by about 1/4th at a minimum or they burn up and start exhibiting signs of cal-mag deficiency, took me awhile to pin over ferting down as the cause. The microscope will help tons, and you can actually affect the bud's high itself based on trichome color. Definitely a must have in my opinion!

I grow my autos until they top and are in full bloom, this is strain dependent but usally happens between day 50 to 60, I then flush out all the food, I use botanacare pro flower base and Atami bloombastic, I own a bloom booster and have the luxury of useing it, if this pic pops up it is a northern light at day53.
