What is the best salt based nutrient line?

Hi

I am tired of cleaning scuzzy shit out of my rez. I will start all clean and over again but it lead me to think is there a better nute line.

I use GH trio. I used to use bio root but that is a bad idea and also the bud ripener (Floralicous plus) is bad for rez funk.

Is there a nutrient line that will not produce reservoir funk? If so what is it. I might get a round of that for next time. I have GH for about 2 more rounds but it is worth a try.

Currently I use the trio with calmagic and silica only.

Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect. A guy here ignored all advice about meters and etc. He bought a bucket and did his thing. Excellent harvest and no problems. I would have never tried it.

GWheels,
Did a wake and bake...so bear with me...

You're going to get grunge in your res almost...no matter what ya do. Keeping a nice tight cover is important because stuff growing in res is bad for res stability as well as a clean-up problem.

OK, so maybe it's not stuff growing...but is your nutes. My favorite is the powdered Maxi series. It's chemical nutes in Lucas formula. If used alone...will keep res as clean as is possible.
Cheers,
JD

nutrients don't "produce funk"...they provide nutrients. you have to keep the system clean, or else the stuff you let live in your system can eat the nutrients and multiply.

Have you tried hydroponic research veg + bloom formulas?

I will check it out. And nutrients will produce a funk if they are organic based. It was a bud ripener that screwed it all up and i use an autopot so they bottom feed a pot. The pot caught the funk so water change still had the same effect. I am half chopped. The other half go Friday and then I am bleaching everything well and rinsing. Next run will be August 1 so i will get it all clean and run all new lines and if i stick to trio i should be ok. I just checked and i have about 4 runs of it left. After that though I will run something different for nutes.
I will check Advanced and the Lucas line.

I think i need to stick to chemical salts with no organics for the hydro (bubble bucket) that i will run and the autopots as well.

ah, i don't put sugar in my pots, forget that other people do. when i was running hempy buckets i'd use 3 ml per gallon of 29% hydrogen peroxide every other time i fed them, and they didn't seem to mind it a bit, they grew great, i'd still be doing it if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to get coco here. fucking hillbillies try to give me hot chocolate...

I've used AN for 17 years and happy with that. That Mega Crop is supposed to be good stuff and there's a big thread here about it with a monthly contest for a free bag and all you have to do is post in the thread whether you want a big or small bag.

Busy so you'll have to search for it but it's not hard to find. They are RIU advertisers/sponsors.

Right?! People really don't know what they are missing it doesn't get easier than jacks (yes its easier than a 1 part nutrient) and quality doesn't get better than jacks. Most people just aren't willing to try it for some stupid reason but hey I'm glad people use other stuff that's why my buds the best around haha
i don't do hydro, but i do use jack's, 20-20-20 in veg, and citrus blend in flower. it took a while to try, i had to hear several of the growers i think highly of saying they either used or had used it, and liked it a lot, before i tried it. now i'll never go back to bottles of overpriced water

You can use the hydroponic formula in soil also!

Greenleaf nutrients make an all in one, cheap and cheerfull, powdered nutrient called Megacrop. Greenleaf is on the forum aswell. I think its about 100$ for around 20 pounds: almost 10000l of feed. Has kelps, amino, chellator, enzymes etc. Is cannabis specific. People are having very nice result using very simple feeding for next to nothing.
Havent tried it yet though but very worthy to check out. Just search greenleaf megacrop on the forum and its bound to turn up.
