PH is only a measure of hydrogen particles you just don’t “get” PH issues there’s always a cause and that is ......
.... well the symptoms are spot on of that of calcium def. So I added cal mag but didn’t really help. Foliar sprayed the cal mag instead and that helped significantly. So I guess that’s how I deduced it was nutrient lockout.
Now without being a smart arse you are right, I have mainly just been a water “girl” so I’m trying to figure this out...

Usually it’s caused by too many salts in the media. When people talk about salts in terms of nutrients they aren’t talking about sodium they mean ionic salts.
im not gunna act like i kno cuse i dont but if heard those terms i no theres nitrates n shit but in terms ofthe nutrients arny thay minarol salts from rocks or some thing but like very very pure

Lockout is only a symptom of the issue, foliage feeding is a good way to get around the issue especially in soil as it’s harder to get rid of excess nutrients . Google Mulders Chart and you’ll see how each element interacts with another and search Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and see how cations and anions are held a released to the plant

All you are doing is washing excess salts out of the media when you flush. Each nutrient is either positively charged (cation) or negatively charged (anion) so if you flush with a dilute mix there’s cations and anions floating around that can bond with the ones in the media making them release and then wash out of the mix more effectively
Cheers, that makes even more sense

The difference between an organic nutrient and a salt based nutrient is a carbon molecule organic have, salts don’t. Salt based fertilisers are basically stripped out of ore until only a certain element is left.

i think thats what i mant 2 say i was reading yesterday about that yester day oddly enough about the carbon thing but i forget lol b4 i 4 get i was curios about the npk of the nutes ur trying and the npk of what house and gardan

The easiest way to deal with salt buildup and the associated PH issues is to not get buildup in the first place,so in coco that means ensure you get enough run off at each watering (10-15% or about 2%with drip clean),never let it dry out fully and don’t over do it with the nutes

Don’t know either of them,I don’t bother with NPK values too much as the numbers they give are minimum values so there could be more of any or all of them. Ratios and balance is more important than totals total amounts of individual nutrients as are results and consistency

iv made up my buket 2 0.8 ec 20 mls 2 10 liters i used its wierd tho cuse i thought the bloom was alkaline but tje ph was 7.4 ztarting n 5.8 finnishing think im not using enough n cuse the bottem growth is fading i think im about done with the stretchi g part and the bud sites poping up so all in all od say for me things are goi g really good
