So i have read around alot and found out that i shouldnt go for advanced nutrients..

..From all my research I have come to a conclusion of the following nutes but not sure which to use as a first timer..

Shogun
Advanced Nutrients
Canna
Biobizz
Plant Magic
Earth Juice
Dutch Pro
Hydrotops
Bloom
Mammoth P
House and Gardens

I am going to be growing with the HLG 550 in a 4x4 (1.2mx1.2m) in soil.

Everybody has their own preference. Truth is any of them will work. And probably take more of your money than is necessary.
A simple 2 part (grow and bloom) is all you need.
Use a good starting soil. After that start with whatever nute you choose at 1/2 strength.

I started with two small tubs of blue salt looking shit and soil,

Super simple and cheap.

I moved on but looking back it made a lot of good weed.

Right now indoor im using gh

Outdoor im using dry granular growilla

My point is most anything on the market will work

My suggestion would be to start as simple as possible because

Once you see how simple it is you can decide what to add.

But if you start with an entire line of a billion bottles and have success
It may be hard for you to trust that you don't need all that.

It can suck you in.

Or should I say I can be sucked in

As above. Bio bizz is organic nutes, some others chemicals, different feeding mechanism from what I remember, definitely different taste to me, but that's an old argument. Your base nutes will dictate this ime,Kiss, once you find a way that works its very hard to not do it, I know overdrive is bull, I just can't stop using it lol

I was planning to use a Biobizz soil to start with straight out the bag..

Have you given DynaGro a consideration? Pretty simple (to use) fert. Here's a thread where a member compared DynaGro with Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur. He didn't half-ass anything either, I highly suggest you check it out here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/dyna-gro-vs-advanced-nutrients-connoisseur-ak47-grow.429438/
I'm so glad I didn't buy in to what so many companies were trying to sell me...I can't believe I even considered going with a company that left stuff out so you had to buy it separately. That's just straight up deceptive marketing.I'm not saying they aren't good ferts after you combine them, but there's no good reason a lot of the stuff isn't just all in one bottle to begin with. Still trying to figure out how Dyna Gro didn't make that list lol.

Here is the other cool thing about starting like this,
You will quickly realise your weed will taste exactly like weed...

No one ever came to me back in the day claiming that my weed tasted
Like blue stuff,.

No one claims it tastes like gh when I use gh.

No one says it tastes like bat shit when i grow organic.

My weed tastes like whatever kind of weed it is.

Edit, I wasn't taking a shot at you @titswitch, for all I know you have some super refined pallet. I know a few people who make the claim, were still friends. Lol

I've tried probably most of the nute brands out there, and have gone back to what I started with, which is Technaflora.
It is a 3 part system where you have BC Grow/Boost/Bloom and they work great.
I add some Tech Awesome Blossoms in bloom, and that's it
It's a very good product, and at 1/2 the price of that AN bullshit, you can't really go wrong.
Good luck on your grow.
