Could be Mould? Powdery Mildew? Roots forming on stem?
Yup looks like white foam on the stem getting the water from the bubbler.. What can I do about it??
Bleach, plain old liquid bleach. Six drops per gallon of water after about every four or five days, I hit near 100% success now. For clones you just have to add it once, 4 days in, typically. You may want to pH down a bit after, but I don’t bother when it comes to cloning.Yeah it looks like a froth.. The water is only prob 6 days old. I use those neoprene things to stick the stem in... Can I still get roots with this froth?? Thanks HydroRed you hit it on the head I think... I am an advanced hydro guy, but have lots of problems with clones not rooting in my dewey mister.. My clones probably only root around 30% of the time.

Sound crazy? Try it.
I run it in my dripper reservoirs too.

i always use town water for cloning...i get about 95-98% success rate....the key to cloning is sterilize everything, then i resterilize my scissors and razor blade every 5 clones, rewipe the work area with alcohol....its so importantBleach, plain old liquid bleach. I tried the bleach too, can't say it helped or hurt but my clone rooting problem went away as soon as I went back to 6 hours of darkness. Now everything is back to rooting near 100%
I know what you mean OP, I lost strains that I was running for years when I went to 24/7 hours of light last fall to try to keep the heat in, as soon as I went back to 18/6 that very tray rooted, so for me that was my answer, hope this helps
-good luck!![]()
I never do anything like that.i always use town water for cloning...i get about 95-98% success rate....the key to cloning is sterilize everything, then i resterilize my scissors and razor blade every 5 clones, rewipe the work area with alcohol....its so important
