Socialist asshole as in taking from those that have and giving it to every special interest group that comes along. Wait for national daycare (why should I pay). etc etc.

No summer job help if you do not agree with Liberal policies etc.

He is really good at kissing ass and apologizing though. Exceptional in fact

I think our taxation anger is like your gun control ;)
I'm for gun control and I think subsidised daycare is a good idea, even though at 14, my child will never need it.

I just realized our concepts of socialism are very different. I like looking after health care etc but I should not have to give more to support immigration or fringe groups of people with their hands out because it is not their fault. That is the Liberal way up here. We will raise min wage until it impugns everyone and you should all pay more is the problem. We should bring in another 50,000 uneducated syrians (insert country in trouble here). That is our problem. We have no issue with paying globally for health care. We are weird eh. We feel the same about you. The good news is when I go on a USA trip to visit colleagues we have a lot to discuss. :D

I am close to the aged. I just think they should be better served than a 3% bump in pay when we immigrate so many because of their shit show at home. And that is why i hate the socialist asshole in charge. He loves the world stage and does not care about home.
Interesting. I don't pretend to know enough about Canadian politics to discuss it intelligently with you but I understand your concerns.

You are no different from practically everybody else in Canada or the US. We all want/like the idea of lower taxes but the other person should get their favorite government program cut to offset the tax cut.

We did take it a bit further lately when our Republican Congress cut taxes for the 1% most wealthy in our nation and paid for the cut with borrowing money. Is that what you'd call socialism too? I'd call it plutocracy but you can call it whatever you like.

Wow Canadian Lieberals on this post. We will have no business in Canada because of the lopsided taxation and high cost of electricity and manpower. But you can be right if it helps. I will sit on the nest egg I spent 35 years accumulating and watch. I think buried in the backyard is the future.

I may have more angst than most because i make a decent buck. I worked a long time and suffered to save for my future. I accepted the 10% loss of pay to get to now.

So why should i give that away to those that whine. Do not pay their share and bitch about it. Educate yourselves and get a better job and bitch like me !

Socialism is bad except when I need the service. Also socialism is whatever I don't like.

Got it.

Ok maybe i am a republican in conservative clothing. Lets just make a flat tax of 50% of wages and we can look after everyone until it is not enough.

And the USA can expand immigration to take up the slack...wait a minute.

It's socialism for the rich!

The rest of us get disaster capitalism.

As long as the rich pay that same 50% things will work out fine.

Sure, as long as the the lowest income family of four can make ends meet with a flat tax of 50%. Progressive tax rates are more equitable. That would be bad socialism by your definition, is that right?

Well where you are wrong is in your assumption of rich. So the upper middle class should be hammered the same as the lower middle class. To what point 100k 150k 200k

100k is not rich by a long shot. Houses cost 700k on average so where do you draw that line.

That is what I mean. The poor me line keeps going further in to middle class because of the tax being spent for the stupid. That is Canada, USA is vastly different.

Lets make min wage 20 bucks an hour. Sorry you went to school to become a PSW you get paid the same as that burger flipping moron (forgot to add that part). Or a dental hygenist or a welder or an electrition/pipe fitter/mechanic...

The poor me shit gets tired. I suffered to train to become what i am. Become a skilled trades person we need 1000s more of them. Suffer 2 or 3 years and achieve upper middle class.

And poor me this or that dont work. You have no idea where I came from. That is cop out nonsense.

And sorry for the hijack. They achieved irritation.

And here they adjust tax level based on salary. I am not sure how it works in the USA. But i meant the only people that pay the brunt are middle class. And if you happen to hit a threshold here you get hammered even harder. It is like you can get ahead to this point and then we will kick you in the nads and give it to this person that we need a vote from.

And I am done on this not related to tillerman sideline that got carried away. :) Peace out even my crazy liberal friends.

And I am always right so na na na na na na

LOL

Not used to being disagreed with? Here is the deal. You complain about socialism and taxes but you want the social services they pay for. If you had said you didn't want government provided health care(note: it's never free), education and care for the elderly in exchange for lower taxes then you would be the first to ever say so. We have the same double dealing conservatives here, you are as common as fleas on a feral dog. More like ticks on a sick deer if you get my drift.

Socialism isn't something that you can define as whatever you don't like. It's an economic system founded on the concept that "the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." Neither Canada or the US are actually socialist.

Canada has more in the way of government provided services that are paid for through taxation. Your medical system is able to provide those medical services for a fraction of what we pay for here. So I don't understand what your gripe is. Money to help refugees? Yeah, like that's a huge hit on your tax bill. You just carp about it because you don't need it. But "don't you dare touch the services I use". Like I said, very common thing for so-called conservatives to say. As common a ticks on a sick deer.

Well i am a Canadian conservative. I still think you can not understand us.

We have a pretty left side of conservative. And as a whole immigration is not a problem if everyone pulls their weight. When one country takes every ship and another takes no ship well things get skewed.

I meant the gun thing in all seriousness. Canadians really do not get you guys as a whole. Apples and fuji apples my friend.

Ok now I am done...:D

I don't understand US conservatives either. I don't understand what's conservative about demanding government provided services and at the same time demanding low taxation. Just saying, be careful what you wish for. There are people with a lot more money and influence than you who can get you your low taxes and even bash those slackers you complain about if you vote for their candidate. They won't even take away your health care. They will just cut funding for it until nobody wants what it provides. I don't know why that's called conservative but there it is. Same thing on both sides of the border.

I want the same taxes but have that money better spent on the service of OUR people. The native people, health care, schools, business. To a degree it makes sense.

Throwing money at foreign interest is not our concern.

But sense left the politician and inception of the house (legislature whatever you call it).
