Looks good, I ordered a bag of maga crop , just waiting for it to arrive to test out.

I cant see a difference between the two plants, I guess the weight in and fire test will answer a lot of questions.
Any differences in density or anything?
Thoughts about MagaCrop so far?

I think the smoke report will be more telling, but the main difference I see is height of the colas. The MegaCrop fed plant stretched more but is filling in. Whereas the other plant has more uniform height and density.

Any new options on MagaCrop?
I got my bag, just waiting 2 more weeks for a round to finish up, so I can do a full veg & flower run , side by side .
(Didn’t want just a flower run, in case it’s better in veg then flower or vice versa)
I really hope it works, as it would save time n money.

As for looks n smell?
Is one stinkier? One have more trichomes?
Density?

Pretty damn similar in most regards. The purpose of this test was to determine if MegaCrop was a suitable replacement for a MaxiBloom based nutrient program (MB + NCalMag, Enzymes, Sea Kelp extract and Si supplement). I believe the two perform similarly. I will note that I believe MegaCrop should be used in late Flower with a PK booster to provide the plant with better macros for late flower.

Nice, if I only have to add a supplement or two I can handle that.
I figured I’ll want to keep adding B52, n ca/mg (but running without at first)
Wasn’t necessary to run CalMag with MegaCrop using tap water/well water at 0.2 to 0.3 EC. If using RO water it may be necessary to supplement though YMMV.

Aroma and strength of aroma is similar, though anecdotally the MegaCrop plant may be more aromatic. Again, I’ll update the journal with dry weight off each plant, plus smoke/quality notes in roughly 2 weeks.

Yield: 9 zips total.

The MegaCrop plant provided ~4.6 zips. MaxiBloom offered up ~4.4 zips.

No discernible difference in aroma or quality of the high. This was feedback provided by 4 other daily smokers.

Difference in yield is fairly neglible. In my opinion, MegaCrop is a suitable replacement for any other multipart nutrient line. I do recommend a compatible bloom booster for week 4+ in flower. I for one will be swapping to MegaCrop for all future grows.

The Deputy #2 is a fantastic plant — the aroma reminds me of a fruity balsamic vinaigrette. She is fruity, sweet, ascerbic and earthy. Dime bags reek up entire rooms. She was a pleasure to grow and wants a heavier feeding. Skimping on feed will greatly harm yields (the MegaCrop plant suffered minor broad spectrum deficiency for several days in week 3 of flower).

On to the next —> Cookies & Chem and Peacebringer!

Great, thanks for running this test, helps a lot. Smoke report?
Flavor is there. Aroma is complex. She smells fruity — like strawberries and lemons that are fermenting with that unmistakable dank stench. There were times during drying that I thought I could detect onions and garlic in there too. Quite a complex terpene profile.

Effect is cerebral at first, hitting hard and fast. Fades after an hour into a happy stone, where you feel content just being, regardless of your desired activity. Inexperienced smokers should tread lightly as she is quite potent.

All right, here we are folks. Big harvest out of a little tent. Just under 9 ounces of dried flowers. This plant is capable of 600+ grams per m^2 of canopy.

The Deputy's flowers make great medicine, suitable for consumption all day. While the initial buzz is uplifting and creative (and overindulgence can overwhelm the smoker), it fades into a happy, relaxed feeling. This one will not leave you couch-locked unless you overindulge. This is a great social smoke due to its potency -- after the first pass, most novice smokers are plenty high.

Her flavor is complex. Pop open the jar and you will smell a fruity, earthy aroma with diesel undertones. Smoke her flowers and you get a mouth coating fruity flavor, with ascerbic notes attributed by the Stardawg stud, along with the earthy, diesel aroma from the Strawberry Diesel genetics.

Good job bro, have you smoked bruce banner? I was curious how the deputy compares as I've been growing out for a while now.
