what was the verdict on the early flowers?
also, whats this?

because if its a webcam it might be kicking out IR and messing with your girls. call me paranoid but ive taped mine up

"One of the most overlooked but most important specification of IR illuminators is frequency. Most IR illuminators on the market are not one-hundred percent invisible to the human eye. Illuminators operating in the ranges of 750nM and 840/880nM emit a soft red glow when looking directly at the illuminator itself. For true stealth operation, select an illuminator that works at 940nM or greater.

and this which explains IR in more detail:
http://www.lymehub.com/info-on-infrared-light.php
and this:
http://cronodon.com/BioTech/Plants_FAQ.html
So I think you have to find out the type of IR coming from the camera, but I don't think it is strong enough coming from the camera to affect any change in the plants.
You would have to have it sitting within 1/4 inch of plant to notice anything, and even then not much. The camera isn't putting out as much energy as the sun. IR can't be seen by the human eye, but is felt as heat because it reacts with molecules. So something very strong would affect the plant, literally cooking it from the inside out." - pinched from another forum

maybe!
Hey Lukio,

All good here. Ladies are growing strong and need very little of my attention which can be good some times.

I've installed the camera a while back so I could make a timelapse video of the whole grow. It probably wont happen as I am not so happy about the results I am getting. Most likely I will switch to photo lapse for next grow just to get smoother final video. Just learning on my mistakes.
Camera is on twice a day for 15min in the morning and the same in the evening.
Don't think it would switch on the flowering as it was fairly far away about 0.5m from top row and 1.5m from bottom plants and they were initiateded as well. Then again you never know...
I would have to check on when I've installed it in the tent maybe that really initiated flowering. But wouldnt they be all flowering if that was the case ? Some of NL and both Chronics weren't flowering at that time.
I would put my bet on Green Lanthern Routine or bad genetics really.

How are You getting on ? Harvested already ? We need to see those pics :cuss::bigjoint:

@T-Time its a mystery! were the plans that flowered early the ones nearest the cam? id still be tempted to tape it up, man. my money is on environment as it was two different strains...find out next run! trying a different seed bank?

Ive also wanted to do a time lapse with the plants...never time lapsed anything...even at work! would be sweet...maybe when i monocrop the casey jones after my break..hmmm

im 3 days into a 10day flush so 1 more week then chop! might take some snaps later...they should be fading out...lights on at 6pm.

No , thats the thing. Fastest flowering plants were two on the right on top AND bottom row.

Im defo trying a different seed bank.
Definitely monocrop, as its too big compromise and you never know if they gonna finish together.
Decided on Dinafem. Most likely Critical+ 2.0
They even have that bad ass timelapse of it!

Right on! Didn't want to try boiling roots ? Even on one plant. I think it works. Gonna try it this round again just to be sure.

Will see about that ;)

MegaCrop arrived today. Just out of curiosity I put it on the scale. I've ordered 1000g and got 1300g so I'm guessing I've got extra 230g sample and the rest is packaging. Which is very nice of @GreenleafNutrients :hump:
Will be puting it into the res with next res refill, which will be in a day or two. Will see whats that worth :)
Quick question if I may. Optimal ph range for MC is 5.5 - 6.5 . But to norrow it down for coco, would that be closer to 6-6.5 ?

Plants got stunt after last defoliation and slowed down a lil bit. Maybe I cut the leaves too early, but to make an omlet you have to break some eggs right ? :) Will see when they will get going. Hopefully they won't be waiting too long.

cool! actually, we have set bag sizes, and fill in the bags. So, the gram amount is a bit of an estimate, the main factor is how much can fit in the bag. So we just call it 1000g for that particular bag size. We have 5 different bag sizes we repackage into 90/230/600/1000/2300 then the 21.7bag comes in original packaging.

I'm glad we didn't short you :)

I don't know why I though I need any other ph range for megacrop then what I'm using with other nutes. Let't call it a brief moment of dumbness  .

First day on MegaCrop :)

Chronic started frosting :)20180302_113543.jpg

New camera installed in tent today. Started doing photolapse. Better late then never I was playing with the angles a lot but thats what I came with. ;)Y0060421.jpg

Did shit loads of work around the tent over the last two days. Basically cooling rad was moved outside the tent and I had to do new intake whole. Although I didint manage to finish it as it was very hard to reach, it is installed and now the air is sucked out from the bottom of the tent.

Air in

Managed to get some time and assemble the light today. I know the frame is overkill but I've got the material for free so it is what it is.

Decided to do even 9cm gaps between the strips even tho some ppl were advising against it. I did the math and around 10cm (4in) height one strip should compleatly overlap the one beside it and that should give even spread. Will check it with lux meter app when I'll be starting the veg tent and adjust if needed.

Planted new seeds today. 13 Dinafem Crital+ 2.0 went into coco and under the new light. This next run will be perfect !

Some N.Lights are almost mature, some are not. Chronic is still going. It will be a compromise but I have to end it all at once. Harvest day this weekend.

Brother @T-Time how much distance do you have between your cobs and the plants?

About 30cm (12") from first set of branche and at full blast. 960 wall watts or true 9127W taking into account meanwells 95% efficiency on the driver. I know , leaves look tacoed, but it't not a light stress. They are stressed cause I've put two big 40cm (16") fans blowing at them at low speed, being afraid of the mold at the late stage of flowering. Its kinda crowded in there and I can't come down with humidity below 70%.
Next run I'll try to leave even less branches (story of my life) as the air moving from the 6x PC fans isn't enough to get past first set of branches.

Anyway from now on I'll be monocroping. It's too much trouble for me, to keep the plants happy get fed from one rez. Chronics are always a bit too dry and its not any line blockage.

Unless that's not the reason You're asking the question :P

Thanks, in person they don't look as nice. Chronic didn't harden up as much as I would like to and N.Lights didn't bulk up. N.lights buds are only a bit bigger then golf ball but hard as them. Chronic has the size but its a lot more fluffy.
I think I know where my mistake was. For N.Lights I defoliated a bit too late into their flowering cycle. I think it might of been week 3 already for them at the time. As of the whole crop I was overwatering them a bit. That + the weird start of the flowering cycle + fecking with the nutes. Genetics weren't the greatest as nearly half of the N.Lights pheno will be weak yielders.

So..... theres always room for improvement and I have always some new ideas how to do that :bigjoint:

Watch this space 8-)

Ahhh I nearly forgot. I measured how much watts new lights pull from the wall.
20180331_094224.jpg

And I will have to reconfigure the strips at some stage to even out the light spread. It's 23k Lux at the edges and about 27k Lux in the middle. @Randomblame You were right!
Live and learn ...

That's 167W each times how many lights in the tent?
