Need a good tote for a aero cloner.

Currently using snap tight 5 gal buckets and lids, but can only fit 6 good sized, clones.

Ive tried totes and they just leak at the edges.

Really ? I used a 1.5" hole and cut according sized inserts from a kneeling pad. my lid has 32 sites.

Fwiw I played around earlier tonight and actually sealed some basic material I had with dripping candle wax. Didn't hold as tight as a stitch but interesting experiment none the less.

I asked the same question and RIU says, the HDX totes from Home Depot ( ones with the yellow lids) seal pretty well. The trick with Rubber Maid totes is to keep you sprayers below the lip and spray the roots not the lid.

I just made this aero cloner today out of a 27 gal tote. I forget the brand,..but I’m sure you’ve either used them yourself or have seen them bc everyone uses them for projects like this. It does seem to leak a very tiny bit around the seams after running it for 5 min. I realize I probably have too heavy duty of a pump for one thing (it wasn’t the pumps original purpose). Otherwise, it works beautifully. How do people avoid this leak problem. There has to be something to put around the seams,..like flex seal or something. I realize I’m sort of asking my own question, but I think it will help with your question. I might make a separate post bc I have a few similar questions

Well, I’m pretty sure my issue is that my pump pumps to much water, even adjusted low. On the lowest setting, it still hits the lid. But not aggressively,..more misty-ish ha

I've seen recommend the foam weather proofing tape ~ 3/8" w by 1/4" thick around the top of the tub. That is what I'm going to try this time.

Not open cell foam only closed cell as it will wick water out.

The best is silicone weatherstripping
