scrogging in dwc advice needed

hi everyone i need some advice, im going to try scrog for the first time, i have a 4 foot x 4 foot tent, and a 600w adjust a wing avenger light, the scrog net im using is 2 inch squares, with 2 plants in dwc, i just wondered do i weave just one branch through each square?? or should i put more through each square?? also how much space should i leave in the net when going to 12/12 for the stretch in the first 3 weeks of flower..

thanks any advice would apprechiated....mitch...

if you want to do a real scrog, picture your scrog net as a clock.

you start the plant at the 6 oclock position and as it grows weave it thru the net towards the 12 oclock position (and towards the sides too 3 and 9 o'clock). when it about gets about to 12 oclock, flip to 12/12

with just one branch going through one square or more than one branch through each square???

Not necessarily weave, but continually tuck branches underneath the net until the top buttons up, then let it come through.

under screen, weave through screen, tie down on top of screen. what ever works to spread the branches out, exposing each node(bud site) to the light. should end up with a miniature pine tree forest of yumminess.

i've done all of the above. personally, i like using plastic ties to tie the plant down on top of the screen. that's easiest to harvest IMO.

thanks mate can you tell me how tall these miniature pine trees will grow to, and would you be able to tell me how thick they would be in diameter of the widest part which i think would be the bottom??, just so i dont over crowd the net during veg,,,, thanks again....mitch

i scrogged years ago under 150 hps lights. my buds were 2" across at the bottom and pointed like christmas trees. about 6-8 long. bigger lights will produce bigger buds.

I know these are soil but heres a progression of my scrog. Keep tucking to spread them out and fill the empty gaps. I flipped them to flower with the screen prob 80% full

Tuck ,weave ,tie down ,what ever is easier.

I make my own net now with 3inch squares

Im also going to try a scrog without a net:)
Jist pinch and bend

See if just training by hand will work. As the net can be a pain in the ass lol

Home depot has a 2x3 screen that i used. Then i used 2 zip ties at each corner so you can adjust the height if neccessary. Ideally you want to fill all the squares

Dont get wrapped up in all the differnt styles and techniques.

Just fill your net at least 3/4 full so that when they stretch they have some room

And keep the canopy level.

Basically the reasons for scrog is that weed is a plant that selects whic tops are higher up sending those more nutrients ect.

So the more level the tops are the more evenly they grow.

More so if you main line or make a manifold :)

here is what you are shooting for, but you wanna fill the screen out just as the plant is about to stop stretching.
