One thing I've noticed (I can see from your pictures too) is that the candida's have some sort of sugar leaf trait - the sugar leaves were twisted/contorted in really cool looking ways...at first I thought it was a problem but seeing that yours look similiar i guess it's a pheno trait? If so it's an awesome expression !! My leaves were purple as well, some purp in the bud too..looks like we have the same pheno ..here's a pic IMG_7262.JPG

I had 2 of 10 expressing purple leaves but not the buds themselves. You can pretty much see the one really purple pheno on the left side compared to the rest. She’s my keeper

Hey GGorilla (:

Thanks for your answer.

Definitely looking forward to hearing news of improved quality of life from your mother. I really hope she eventually finds relief. Fingers crossed.

Re-reading the opening post of your grow journal, I was wondering what °K are your Vero 29 COBs ? Did you run them at 500W throughout the whole growing session ?

I would not allow myself to question your choice, but what a shame you do not have, at least, your keeper pheno lab tested, if you are in a legal state. I believe testing, when possible, is a real plus particularly when marijuana is intended for medical purposes. It really helps defining the right dosage. Anyway, I stop my rambling… hopping I have not offended you.

Hey EXObell. My mom vaped some Candida out of the arizer solo 2 hours before bed last night. She has been recently waking up with hip pain/trigeminal pain in the middle of the night. Last night she experienced no pain/slept throughout the night!! I can also vouch for candida's effects on anxiety/depression- I suffer with multiple diagnosed anxiety disorders, symptoms get severe often- after vaping the candida I felt completely at ease- almost sedated- a very good anxiolytic-anti-depressant

We will be making the canna caps Feb 5th and my mom will start the medication that day. I’ll let her try for a few weeks and see if she notices any difference with her fibromyalgia. As for the COBs, I ran 500w in veg and roughly 750-800w in flower.
And no, you haven’t offended me, I just don’t wanna put out more $ for a lab test. If they work, awesome for my mother!

Hey Bro, I like what you're doing and why you're doing it. Outstanding!:clap::clap:

It is my understanding that CBD needs to be activated, just like THC. Is this part of your production plan?

Thanks @Bugeye. Yes CBD needs to be decarboxolated as well. I’m going to decarb in the oven at 225 degrees for 60 minutes and then it goes into the crock pot with the coconut oil for at least 3 hours on warm. My mother is actually going to be helping make her medication. She’s as excited to make it as I am lol.

I'm still trying to figure out why Candida named themselves after a yeast infection? Isn't that a little weird?

Hi Alphapinene,

Thank you so much for your input and the invaluable feedback about the almost incredible healing powers Candida possesses.

I’m hoping to get the same kind of results…

I wish you and your mother better health and improved quality of life. (:

Just shy of 16 ounces. Filled this 2.5 gallon jar up with pure bud at 60% humidity. This’ll keep my mother medicated for almost 2 years making the canna caps. View attachment 4076384View attachment 4076386
That looks really good! Im really interested if you could make a smoke/vape report? Im looking for a non thc strain for my sister migraines and also for daily "non get high" smoking for me.

Did you get any psychoactive effects?

Hey @elfo777. I took some sample nugs off of the different phenotypes and smoked them all separate in joints. No psychoactive effects whatsoever. I’m not very good at Smoke reports, but it did taste good. Vaping would be much nicer though. I love the taste of vaped weed.
I’ll be back to report how it’s helped with my mother’s fibromyalgia pains in a month or so, as we are making her canna caps on February 4th. I’m also making her some CBD coconut oil salve for her foot pains.

Hey GrowGorilla,

I searched the web some time ago, in an attempt to try and gather accurate information as to how properly decarb CBDA into CBD.

This is what I’ve found, and I thought that, you may be interested as well (if you do not already know it that is).

Source : http://greenstyleconsulting.us/decarboxylate/

The link is broken, and I didn’t manage to find the whereabouts of the chart on their website. I therefore had to take it from somewhere else on the web.

When I first found this chart, I was convinced it had been devised by Green Style Consulting (where I found it first). However, now that I’ve realized that this exact same chart is on display on a whole host of website across the internet, without no one ever citing its source, I am not so sure whose original creation it is. Anyway…

Here is a chart taken from GW Pharmaceuticals’s patent

Source : http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7344736.html

And down bellow, is a link in which, someone (who goes by the name Jackson Hawk in the comment section) attempts to duplicate this method in a household setting, and then have the plant material analyzed at OG Analytical in Eugene, OR.

Source : http://www.catscientific.com/decarboxylating-cannabis/

In this instance somebody tries a two step decarb, consisting in baking the plant material at 240°F 2x 30minutes and then have it analyzed at SC Labs.

Hope this helps.

Oh, just one last thing, are your Vero 29 COBs 3500K ?

Thanks very much for the info. I’ve been researching this as well and found the sweet spot to be 248 degrees F for 60 minutes (using an oven thermometer) for CBD.
My Vero29s are 3500.

With the exception that I go for a prior 20 minute oven drying session, I use the same method as you do, 248°F for 60 minutes monitored with oven probe.

To be honest, I cannot say if this procedure yields the expected outcome. So far I’ve only applied it to 1:1 strains and never have them lab tested…

By the way, does anybody knows of an effective and reliable device to conduct these tests at home ? Alpha Cat, Cannalytics and the like are simply too expensive and too messy. I am rather thinking to something more akin to THC Analyzer or THC Detector, but one that really works. Is there already anything like that on the market ?

Coming back to the decarbing method discussed here, the only thing that bugs me is that, carrying out this procedure, part if not all the terpenes evaporate in the process, you can clearly smell it. I will endeavor to improve that point. Maybe lower temps for longer periods of time ?

Thank you for the precision about the color temperature of your COBs.

Sorry, I know I am rambling, but to increase the bio availability of your caps, LIQUID sunflower lecithin is said to work wonders.
