Testing Timber's B-lux Decor Vero fixture(1750k)= Hello beautiful SPD, finger still on the trigger

I'm not a fan of the organic mechanics for cannabis. Ive met the OM dudes a few times, super nice guys but not what i'd call soil scientist or agronomist types. Once i quizzed them about their castings. From that convo i was persuaded to start my own worm farm.

If it's cool I'll PM you on the soil test thing, not logan. The diff between getting your base saturation balanced and metal ppms at appropriate levels is a mind bender. Although we might have already had this convo??? Techniques I'm advocating are practiced by this grower
Never met the OM guys, but I thought Mark has a bs in hort? he should know his stuff. Container blend is a decent base for ROLS , especially if you amend it like they recommend. I go at it very basic (azomite, vega, filtered tap), unlike coots, sub, rev's preachings.........it became too tedious & complicated for me(this was before BAS), cannabis is a very adaptive plant:) Granted my main goal is just a clean/safe end product for me to inhale.

Drop the knowledge, no pm necessary===== we all want to win some cool trophies!!!lol

Finally had a Sunday off and enjoyed it doing nothing..............so Monday update

Round 2 Day 86 of 13/11 from seed under Timber's blux décor vero 29 fixture 1750K(296watts) & osram 730nm flower trigger up my azz===== with my four anesthesia(nl x bd) ladies.

DSC06837.JPG DSC06838.JPG DSC06840.JPG DSC06841.JPG DSC06842.JPG ..........didn't need the scope, can tell their not ready. Just getting filtered water at this point and waiting for the finish.

DSC06843.JPG DSC06844.JPG DSC06845.JPG ..........as you can see I defoliated the center and some upper leaves in the canopy for better air circulation . Lots of plant mass crammed into this shitty closet, so taking precautions as always.

I'm a advocate of soil testing. It especially makes sense with recycled soil because the amendments we add could very well be reinforcing the negative performance loops that we try to correct. Obtaining guidance from leaf diagnostic charts, nutrient manufacturer recommendations and / or stoner dogma is a lot like spray and pray, it's not best practice.

I start a growing year testing a soil that has been rested and amended. I send a sample in and use the results to make adjustments appropriate for my soil type. I follow the recommendations, rest for ~month and start my crop. I made this a practice because i was getting shitty results when I doubled my wattage even as I improved my spectrum. Another member suggested a possible general nutrition def. I sent in a sample and worked briefly with their agronomist. My results were immediate. Since then I've learned more about the importance of a balanced base saturation as well as the significance of the metals Zn, Cu, Mn, Mo and especially Ca.I also learned that it's super easy to let your K get fucked up high, your B way low and you Ca at borderline levels. Starting out without the right dynamics will result in compromised outcomes.

I'm about to be on vacay. When I come back I'll be testing out the 1750 and upgrading my v29, V.1.2, 4k's to gen 7. I pick up a bunch of PAR and also some low spectrum intensity. Between the light and my balanced soil I have very high hopes. I'll def post a status update when I have something useful to report

Good advice, it should be a common practice if you grow any crop for a living in soil/los/rols/etc. As a apathetic person I question it's use on a small non-profit personal grow , but I'm very cheap as well. hell, I still meet farmers who think they know better than a soil test with their own land................to each their own though, it's their lo$$ in the end.

Looks like another solid run @PSUAGRO. - love following what you and @The Dawg are doing with the 1750K grow journals.

Merry Christmas to you and the family.

Take care,
Dan
A semisolid run imo, like the stuff coming out of a snowman's ass:).............hope you had a good holiday as well dan, thanks for supplying the chips .............I might keep this fixture, lol

Another day off, my liver's slowly recovering ....................update time

Round 2 Day 94 of 13/11 from seed under timber's blux décor vero 29 panel 1750K (296 watts) & osram 730nm trigger up my azz====with my 4 anesthesia ladies

DSC06846.JPG DSC06847.JPG DSC06848.JPG DSC06849.JPG ...............talk about senescence , couldn't keep up with their nutritional demands ,was always behind this run== straight water just amplified it. Nothing I can do & don't care at this point , just want them to finish! Three should be ready by Sunday hopefully and one(back right) is behind......I really don't want to stagger the harvest, might chop all together.

DSC06850.JPG DSC06852.JPG DSC06851.JPG ...............feels like an eternity. I am throwing out all the leftover crimson clover seeds, I'll try the white/dutch I have next round.........maybe

.

Look great man, nice work.

I think best quality will predictably follow from science based decisions, you know, like how we test out spectrum and intensity. Same deal with soil.

Working with farmers on the reg, ive been told that when you start your crop with imbalances you might might never catch up and yield and quality will be impacted.

I'm doing my bridgelux upgrade next week, got my beans set for the grow and cant wait to get started.(feb) I'll try and contribute to the growing body of 1750k info

eagles vs raiders = Kaerpernick

Absolutely , with imbalances your crop suffers, end of story. Haven't dealt with annuals at work in a long time, some different methods obviously.

Very quick and easy upgrade. @Rahz, appreciate the suggestion. my old v29 4k were 135Lm/W, replacements are 165Lm/W.

*3500K cob is actually 3k

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Eagles vs Dallas = Kaerpernick
Should be a worthwhile bump imo.........happy new year

Congrats On The Bowl Win I'm Sure It Will Take The Sting Out Of The 1 And Done Playoff Bound Feagles :bigjoint:
You mofo, I smell a bet incoming.............yeah, we're not going anywhere, always next year. lol

So of course I lost power during an artic blast, had to stay at my wife's parents house last 2 days, they don't approve of alcohol(wine) use:roll:didn't sleep well......was worried about the smell escaping into the apt complex while away, very faint when I entered(cold/low rh helps), did a decent job on sealing the crappy closet.

Finally had time to chop down, DAY 101.

DSC06853.JPG DSC06854.JPG DSC06855.JPG ...........leaning from the weight, just did a quick chop, minor fan leaf removal.

DSC06856.JPG DSC06857.JPG .............they should be ready to trim/scale up next week, brutally low RH in the NE== Turned the light/fan off and exhaust on low.

be safe and happy growing riu

Unfinished? one is behind like 5% amber all milky(not staggering the harvest again) ,the rest are above 20% from my eyesight/loupe.....this spec needs white balance adjustment , I just use incandescent mode

my dry and cure methods are lazy, I mostly vape all my bud and it's not for profit

3000k,3500k is good for flower, plenty of good results in here with it..........1750k is for the "experimental" types who are never satisfied, grass is greener on the other side, prettier Asian poodle in the next dawg park, etc.

Well He Started It :P
All I know is that you don't remember shit from 1979.

we all miss fran/ @fROGGled , he was the king of this shit
