The weather here today was warm enough to walk the dog without a jacket- at least until the sun went behind the Foothills. Tomorrow is forecast to be even warmer, and then we're to get a cold snap lasting until after Christmas!

There's nothing inherently special about humans. Our ability to accumulate information and educate our children is the only thing that really sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom.

What we've been doing with that knowledge is proof that we aren't really apart from the rest of the animal kingdom, lol
It the thumbs that set us apart. We are able to hitch hike. Ha ha, ho ho he he.

We had a hot sunny day here. My four person crew sat in the cookshed all afternoon eating pizza and drinking beer for our office Christmas party. As the only non-drinker and only stealth smoker, I was not as buzzed as the other three.

At 1725 it's clear, 56F with 94% humidity. Forecast high/low is 75/52F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 78/38F with half a day of rain.

The weather here has been seasonal since the 21st. Like a light switch, it went from barely freezing at night and 50s-60s in the daytime to single digits at night and twenties to low 30s for daytime highs.

There's a warm-up forecast for the next few days, things will be 15 degrees warmer on both ends for a bit. Heat wave!

Global warming is a thing, though. I'll be interested to see where 2017 falls in the rankings for temperature. I'm betting it will still be a top ten year, maybe top 5.

Once the Arctic goes ice free, things will start to get really hot, really fast.

We've had mild days and cool nights this week. It was in the 50's all day yesterday, and the 60's today. Nights in the 30's. There was rain a couple three days ago, but not very much.

At 1735 it's partly cloudy, 57F with 69% humidity. The forecast high/low is 66/47F with 20% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low is 60/23F. Damn, hate to see the cold getting all the way down here to me. That is next Tuesday morning.

The sun showed itself today. Haven't seen too much of it lately. At 1615 it's sunny, 52F with 64% humidity. Forecast high/low of 53/37 with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 61/26F. It's changing everyday, but as of now, I have 6 nights below freezing next week. This time next week I may be out of the winter/spring crop business.

Yep, it's climate change for sure. We have had one of the craziest years ever. Flood and drought in the same spot in Texas within a few months of each other. Fire in Cali and snow in the south.

Today's weather was batshit crazy; it hit 70 this afternoon in northern Colorado and not even 8 hours later it's below 20. That's a 50 degree temperature swing in less than half a day.
