I've been lucky and had the chance to work at a hydro store and the biggest perk is getting to try all the nutes for free. I've used pretty much all of them out there and it depends if you're going for yield or quality. The best yielding hydro nutrients I've used to date is cyco's complete line but the top shelf flavor wasn't completely there but the yield is about 10 to 15% higher than any line out there. Best overall quality came from botanicare hands down but it has a noticeable lower yield beautiful dense flowers just less weight the best overall yield to quality trade off its a 3 way tie between CES"cutting edge solutions", GH"General Hydroponics" flora trio and Elite nutrients. A deffinent must don't forget to supplement xtra calmag to whatever line you run then switch to a mag/sulfer supplement the last few weeks. That and the more bubbles "oxygen" you can push into you buckets or totes will make your girls perform to their peak genetic potential. I hope this helps you out good luck. ✌

I was thinking about going with botanicare set. Looked into it and looks very promising. Would you recommend I go that route? I honestly just want to have personal smoke and yes maybe get rid of a lil but mainly smoke.

If you want top quality for yourself and close friends I would deffinently recommend botanicare pbp and calmag plus also don't forget to inoculate with microbes. Photosynthesis plus or mammoth p they both deffinently make a huge difference and imo are essential in any happy garden ✌

Thanks bro that is exactly what I want lol I just finished my first actual harvest pulled in a lil over 3 oz with some nutrients I just bought half ass. But the quality is there surprised me and some friends how good it came out lmao but botanicare is what I ordered so we will see the diffrence in quality.

Yeah man! I've ran all 3 of their lines and they all offer superior quality and great yields and IMO the pure blend pro line takes 1st place followed by CNS 17 in 2nd I try to keep things as simple and minimal as possible anymore and with pbp it doesn't get any easier it's a 1 part bloom formula. The only other nutrients needed are #1 CalMag+ it accounts for half of my total ppms 350-400ppm of calmag is the 1st thing mixed in my water followed by 300ppm of pbp bloom. Then 150-200 ppm of pk boost of your choice I prefer ginormous from Humboldt and last 5mil per gallon of photosynthesis plus. I feed every watering through the whole bloom cycle except I feed my veg mix the 1st 2-3weeks of flower to keep nitrogen levels high enough to promote a healthy stretch and make sure things don t start autumning up to early I'm sure you will be pleased with the results ✌man!

I just wanted to emphasize the plus, calmag plus has nice extra shit like boron in, calmag is also a major source of nitrogen.
Yes it does have a bit of nitrogen but not to extreme if you have nitrogen toxicity switch out to their sweet which is magnesium and sulfer additive I use calmag all the way through myself and have no nitrogen issues. My ladies still autumn out just in time

Botanicare is owned by Scott's Miracle-Gro now along with GH and Gavita. If you like supporting a company that has sold crap for decades and denied us pot growers then by all means support the enemy. I don't shop at Walmart either.

I'm sticking with AN 3-part, Big Bud and Rhino Skin. Any old CalMag and some Epsom salts is all I need.

16 years with AN and always good yields in DWC and soilless.

Merry Xmas!

Anything can be made to work well but that's not the point I was making. I just won't buy anything from companies that I find are not honest, sell harmful stuff, (Now boycotting Campbell's soups or any other products from their company or subsidiaries as they switched the sugar in their tomato soup to high fructose corn syrup and it tastes like candy).

At least AN from the very start has proudly stated that they make their nutes tailored for cannabis and have been shit on by every other nute company and magazines that won't run their ads because of their honest stance. Sure they have too many expensive additives but I don't use those. Their base nutes are the same price as other 3-part products and even cheaper sometimes. $40/gal is not expensive and that's what I paid for mine last year. They come with added ingredients like Wet Betty, Fulvic and Humic acids, lots of aminos and the pH Perfect technology so checking pH is a thing of the past.

I have not checked my pH in DWC or soil/soilless growing in 4 years since moving from the old AN nutes to the pH Perfect ones and never seen a pH related problem or hardly any problems at all. Try running DWC from clone to crop without once changing nutes and getting great yields with any other product. I only use RO water and that alone makes everything work better too.

Being a lazy old fart I like that I can go three days then top up with RO, check ppm and add small amounts of nutes directly to the tub to keep the ppm where I want it and not do anything else for 3 more days. How easy is that!

Like a lot of things we get used to doing things a certain way that may be different than how others do it but accomplish the same thing so what works for me I tend to stick to. I'm always looking for the easiest way to get anything done from washing dishes to growing pot and find AN to be reliable and make growing more of a pleasure for the time and effort it saves me. Big phat colas and happy plants works for me too. :)

I suck as dirt farmer and could never keep a house plant alive to save my own life but do very well with pot and hydro nutes when I manage to keep my eye on the ball. With chronic depression I've dropped the ball quite often but my way of growing is very forgiving and I usually do OK.

i like megacrop. single part dry nutrient which costs ~3.4 pennies per gallon (1.7 if you get the big bag on sale, makes 9000 gallons for $55 + shipping)

That's f'n excellent for a 10th grow IMO! Nothing to laugh at there.

I've been quite ill for the last 5 years and let everything slide but all fixed up now and gearing up for great grows ahead. 2017 is gonna be a lot better.
