they rooted in a week
No, they didn't. Yes, you saw roots within a week. but it takes time for those roots to establish in the media you use it in.
Even some of the largest clone producers stick to the 3 week period. (at least it needs next to no light)

Sounds like you generally have a fair idea of what you are doing, and it might just need tweaking if you even want to.

in 5 days i usually see roots coming out not just nubs, depends on the strain, from that point it honestly doesnt take mine 3 weeks to really start taking up nutes and growing. i take my clones differently than most as well though. maybe thats makes a difference. i veg with cfls, ill take my cut soak it and place it into the soil i dont use cloners or rockwool a whole lot, or even plugs and the planted cut goes right back into full light. i see the leafs being eaten around days 3 and 4 sometimes 5 and theyll b growing roots by day 7 at the latest and the next 7 days theyre growing new leafs. i have some pics of a clone i just took a few days ago if youre interested we can pm and follow this lil lady see how long it takes her to start growing. i changed up my clone/small veg area and just made a spot on the shelf for them instead of in my veg space so things may be a little different than normal so we shall see lol

Are you rooting in rockwool or aero? Those are water roots, they will get a plant going, but the plant will grow new roots to suit the media it is transplanted into.

Anc is a great guy from South Africa. Sometimes his English has to be interpreted not taken literally. I have scratched my head on occasion reading his posts.
Why not share your clone pictures and rooting experiment here. No reason to PM.
Sharing is caring! :)

you cant say that and compare an led to an hps man..
of cause you can. LED is more intense to start with.
Good friend of mine recently went to led from HID. His first grow was fkd as he had the led at the same height he would his HID.
He gave it to much light.

I highly recommend the Grow boss's videos if you get the time.

ive watched them but none with him about leds. leds do not penetrate like an hid light man. hid will give you at least 3' while an led isnt recommended passed what like 24" and the lumens and par arent shit besides the middle

I said intense.
Theres a reason you run HID closer to the canopy than LED.

i disagree, you would obviously keep it closer simply bc it doesnt penetrate as deep so it will need to be closer? otherwise why would you even wanna use them if you have to cut it in half from what its recommended area is or height?

From; http://www.growweedeasy.com/how-far-grow-lights

"you weren't given any instructions with the light, here's a quick reference guide:
Type of LED Grow Light Distance From Plant
1W Bulbs at least 12" (30cm)
3W or 5W Bulbs at least 18" (45cm)
High Wattage (300W+) up to 30" (76cm) or more
Powerful LED grow lights need to be kept relatively far away from your plants to prevent light burn"

A graph from a google search:

As you can clearly see the LED is recommended to be higher than a HID. here is a HID chart but you would already be aware of the optimum distance for those id assume. I run a 600w and am normally about 8 to 10 inches from canopy top unless heat is an issue, then higher of cause.

You guys are welcome to post whatever you like, unlike most people, I don't mind changing positions as long as the information available carries it.

I think my post has you a tad confused.
First of is a quote from growweedeasy. The brand name doesn't matter as its based on wattage, just like the HPS chart.

Then I tried to find a LED Graph like the HPS one I posted and found the picture with the Kind LED.

Unit Farm, the company that did the great giveaway a few months ago and a site sponsor @Unit Farm System Supply said 32 inches from canopy to light for their LED from memory??

hmm so i guess diodes dont have a play in this or the light intensity in general then huh? all led lights the same? no theyre not, i really wouldnt keep making this claim, you can take 4 300w led panels and i can bet they are different when it comes to par values and lumens or even light spread or penetration which will fall down to you having to move it closer than 36".you claimed you keep then at the same level as an hps light even and thats not true either. i have currently a 600w mh maybe 18 inches away from my canopy and from your opinion youd say im gonna kill my plants right? theyre happy and praying and guess what, its not even air cooled! you give what your plant likes or is telling you it needs. it ifs too close youll know, his plants didnt show any signs of light stress or burning. maybe i just dont get it idk but all the research ove read and videos ive watched state otherwise man. i know my responses sound like im a dick and im not ive had a very bad week around the house so please dont take anything i say too hard just think of it as just a response and not a shitty one man sorry dude

what to which part? that graph show kindled's recommendation for their light, is it the same wattage as his? same diodes? same par or lumen value? my point is each light is going to differ brand to brand and wattage so to say every led needs to be kept at this range isnt true.

You can lead a horse to water and show them the graphs and links but you cannot make them a fish...or something.

well lets see what these builders have to say about led lighting i just asked. i asked two questions to all of them. first was do they have to be kept 36 inches away from your canopy, and second, do they have to be kept higher than hid lighting. those were your points right?
